when you can’t blame the opposing team or the ref because your team just rlly fucking sucks
It’s really not satisfying watching Sri Lanka get pummelled by India. It’s like watching watership down or children’s hour or something. Hours of sad feels.
Aaaaand 16 years later, player of the match in the World Cup final <3

Congratulations England Women for winning the #WWC17Final #Cricket
THE SEXISM GETTING A NOTCH DOWN IN SPORTS
INDIA VS ENGLAND WOMEN’S CRICKET WORLD CUP FINAL 2017
Let me tell you I’m a huge fan of cricket and after years of watching the gentleman’s game I was excited to see both the countries—England whose national game is cricket and India who loves cricket—setting their eyes on this match.
India lost and I’m definitely a bit sad about it but I’m still happy that after years of watching only males taking over games like cricket, football , basketball or baseball, there’s finally a time where people are cheering for the girls too!
Maybe it took a long time for this change but it’s here at last. I can sense the sports industry becoming feminist and not the misunderstood meaning of feminism but the actual one where guys will be cheering for the female players as much as the girls do for male players.
ENGLAND WOMEN ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS! They win the final against India that turned out to be a nail-biting contest but nerves got the better of chasing team.
What a brilliant final that was! Nervy until the very end!
Well done England, and commiserations to India, who still played a great tournament!
Winning a world cup for England at Lords, now that is magical!
i’m listening to the women’s cricket world cup on the radio and the story about the oldest England cricketer, 105 year old Eileen Ash, who came in to ring the bell at Lord’s today in her 1937 cricket blazer is making me cry
