Hey its Pride Season so lets have a few friendly reminders

1. Do not assume someones gender. When addressing a group or an individual person use gender neutral terms like folks, y’all, they, them, theirs

2. If a transmasculine person who has top surgery is shirtless do not comment on their chest unless it is a positive compliment. For example, Do NOT say what happened to your chest or that looks painful. (overall do not judge anyone on their appearance. I am speaking from a trans guy experience)

3. DO NOT JUDGE OTHERS. If you see a couple who may “look” like a straight couple do not get all pissy and judge them. You do NOT know how they identify. For example, one or more may be transgender or one or more may identify as bi, ace, pan, ect.

4. Lets make pride a safe, friendly, and judge free zone.

5. Most importantly have fun and be yourself

Number 3, and Number 4- Number 5 is nice too- but number 3 is IMPORTANT. Listen, ladies, gentlemen, gentladies, manies, and every one and thing in between, I love you all, but don’t judge. I’m a pansexual woman who has spent my whole life with every type of sexuality and identification on earth. I recently married my husband, and for that I got... well, shit. We can’t ask people to understand us and then not understand each other. I just found the mind I love inside the body of a man, and yet I got outcasted by many friends for changing it up (previously I’ve not dated men... trans men, trans women, women, asexuals... all of the above, but never just a plain ole straight guy, so my friends didn’t know what to think) This hurts us. You can’t help who you fall in love with, and being hurt by people I was so close to for something so small as gender lines... man it sucks. And it sucks when strangers do the same. I’ll not stop fighting for equality. I will always love my LGBTQ family.

I will always be my pansexual self.
