okay here's my thoughts on the whole endeavor. i dont think tommy had a 100% chance of getting wilbur out of that room, this 50/50 split genuinely kind of perfect, but i think he had a Chance. i think he Could. i think he is literally the only one who Could. i think phil couldn't have done it even if he was given a script by god himself to assure wilbur's survival, but i think tommy had a chance. at getting wilbur not to press the button, even, as well as getting wilbur out alive. i dont think anything was inevitable on that server except love

i love trying to rationalize bigB because sometimes there is an explanation, it's just the most confusing moral compass ever. "why did bigB form an allyship with the villies" well you see with the other rejects close to being eliminated, bigB felt that they were no longer a good longterm commitment and wanted another team to fall back on. gem actually offered allyship to him earlier in the season.
