 “I ask about many people,” Fisk said bluntly. “You’re not that important.” At least for the moment, but he’d been wrong before.

“They may try to ‘tear me down’, but they will fail time, and time again.” More importantly, no matter how many times they ‘succeed’ Fisk would be back on top. That wasn’t just the way of things, but rather, the order of things. He’d be on top and everyone else would be on the bottom. “I just fail to see your point.”

“How sure are you about that?” Eyebrow raised for a few moments at his own question. “The way I see it, everyone has their own happy ending, but most of the time it’s not in the way they think or want.”

Grant looked at the man in front of him, the hint of a cocky smirk on his lips. “It’s Fisk, right? Kingpin?” His shoulders rolled back, making the man look openly relaxed. “You’re a powerful player, I’ll give you that… but only inside Hell’s Kitchen. Now, before you react, I’m willing to lend a hand to- expand- your reach. For a price, of course.”

“My reach extends far beyond Hell’s Kitchen.” It wasn’t exactly the truth, but not exactly a lie either. All the same, Fisk’s gaze drifted off the other for a few moments. “Everyone has a price, you, me, and even those pesky government agents.” A pause. “If you’re willing to offer your assistance, i accept, but on the condition you take care of a little problem first.”

     “My reach is limitless,” Fisk said, arms folding calmly over his chest, “However, the way I see it? Your very own is not.”
