The idea is that Danny needs some time to recover safely after being vivisected by his parents. Clockwork as the concerned adult ghost sends him to Fields of Mistria after he is cleared by Frostbite to rejoin a living realm.

There are two versions of this where Vlad essentially loses his shit and either decides to suicide murder the Fenton Parents and himself because his Obsession is fractured and distorted after what they did to Danny which essentially proved there was no universe in which they accept him.

The other is in that he murders them but transfers his broken Obsession onto Danny and in an effort to force him to “stay” he holds Dan and Dani hostage and accidentally/purposely de-ages them. In an effort to protect them Danny takes them with him when he leaves for Mistria and Vlad tears himself apart looking for them.

But either way Danny becoming the new farmer and living a much calmer life and enjoying making new friends and everything and maybe falling in love. It's good for him.

Fun fact! Part of why so many believe Persedea is Pallas reborn is because the bloody and battle worn armour she was 'born' in was the same armour Pallas died wearing.

As Percy was female and looked and behaved like his daughter Triton never saw her as a threat to his position as heir during her mortal life as a demigod and instead viewed her as someone under his protection as both his kin and as a child of the Oceans.

Percy wrecked the armour gifted to her by their father whilst trying to survive the explosion that took out the Andromeda Cruise Ship and there wasn't time to replace it so on the eve of the second Titan War Triton gifted her Pallas armour that it might protect her as it once had his daughter.

Seeing his daughter's spitting image dressed as she was the day Pallas died was traumatising but his baby sister needed armour and it's not like she could be further cursed than she already is with the prophecy hanging over her head.

Extra fun fact! Percy's mortal point was the same place Athena's javelin struck and killed Pallas.

Other ancient works featuring the Athenide you find include a painted vase of her riding with her mother Athena in her chariot. Another shows a European style painting of Apollo longingly reaching out for her as she tends to her sacred dogs.

Another painting shows the Athenide in the form of a dog biting one of Hera’s snakes sent to kill an infant Herakles

I have a question, what if Apollo goes back in time to before they got married, what would he do? Marry her and never do what he did or doing something else.

Oooooh, this is a fun idea, I guess it depends at what point in time he went back I suppose...

Not long after they married: This man hated his wife and saw her as a collar he couldn't shake, if he went back in time he would do everything in his power to avoid being shackled a second time.

Part of why he wasn't able to escape the wedding was that no one was prepared for it.

This Apollo subtly lets Athena know his suspicions over Persedione's potential domains and what Zeus reaction might be and just watches his sister go on a paranoia fueled plotting spree.

Think how in some athenide au's Athena managed to secure oaths from pretty much everyone to not touch her daughter. Apollo gives his willingly in this and doesn't come to regret it until several centuries later when there's nothing he can do

At the High/Low point of their marriage (think shortly after Asclepius was born and Apollo realised that he wanted an actual marriage to this woman): They get married and it's still fucked but in an entirely new way.

The relationship is toxic and controlling with Apollo weaponizing every detail he learned about the little goddess throughout their marriage to carefully coral the sea goddess into a gilded cage of his own design.

Persedione thinks she's happy for the most part but... Well there's no but because Apollo won't let there be one.

Ironically in this au it's the sea family rather than Athena and Hera who recognise this relationship isn't healthy and verges on/is abusive.

There's significant cultural differences between Olympus and Atlantis so whilst a lot of Apollo's more public behaviour would fly on Olympus it's beyond suspicious for the Sea. (Athena and Apollo may have both stayed beneath the waves for a time but Apollo wasn't there long enough to pick up on much and Athena was still a baby when she was banished)

Apollo is being a lot less careful this time because as far as he's concerned he isn't actually doing anything wrong this go around (Apollo isn't a fool, he knows his behaviour towards his wife the first time around crossed every line he just didn't care)

The sea hates to be constrained or trapped and Poseidon can see his daughter slowly wilting within the golden cage Apollo crafted for her.

I can see Poseidon getting Kym to kidnap her and the family trying to help her see Apollo's behaviour isn't ok only for it to devolve into family therapy.

Athena gets dragged in at some point.

The divorce has Apollo's mask slipping and results in Ares having to pull the enraged sun god off Athena after she intervenes to prevent him from 'talking' Persedione into returning home.

Shortly after Persedione's Suicide: They still get married and this is probably the only version of Apollo for this au that manages to keep Persedione as his wife.

Her death shook him enough that he will treat her much better this time round, but he hasn't acknowledged or accepted any kind of accountability or wrong doing so won't feel hesitant or guilty about being given a zero strings attached do over.

This Apollo models their relationship after the one he saw glimpses of between their Roman aspects.

The couple have their issues but they are probably one of the happier Olympian marriages.

Apollo still has his Demigods but the two have an 'adult' conversation about open marriages and such.

Persedione has nightmares about what was/could have been but can never remember much of them and Apollo easily soothes those worries and fears that they invoke

Post Trials of Apollo: I feel that he wouldn't Marry her but not because he doesn't want to.

Does this Apollo love her? Yes, obviously but he's just gone through some massive character development and introspection and come to a bunch of realisations about himself.

In Apollo's mind, not only does he not deserve a do over with Persedione after what he did to the goddess, but he also doesn't want one as a relationship between them would likely have Apollo regressing into the person he once was.

Apollo doesn't like the person he becomes when he's around her. He wants to be better and he can't do that if there are no consequences.

Going back in time may have erased his actions to everyone else but he still did those things.

If no one else can hold him accountable then he needs to do it himself.

Apollo promised Meg he would do better, be better.

He doesn't think he can do that whilst married to Persedione.

Did Roman Apollo and Percy have an actual better relationship or it was just made to appear that way? If so how does that change Bachusus (idk how to spell) conception and why he came about

Roman Apollo and Fidelia's relationship is incredibly sweet and 💯 times better than the one between greek Apollon and Persedione.

Their Roman aspects give me knight in shining armour and his gentle princess vibes.

You've got to remember that the Romans changed Persedione alot when they made her Fidelis and that whilst Apollon(g) and Apollo(r) are similar, the Roman aspect is more disciplined and restrained.

The two gods don't clash as much as their greek aspects did, are better suited to one another and have a vastly different perspective on their marriage.

Fidelis after all was created and gifted to Apollo by his favourite sibling after Diana -> Minerva.

She wasn't something forced on him, though even if she was he wouldn't have acted as his greek counterpart did.

I wouldn't claim Roman Apollo has superior morals or anything (this man can and will do horrendous things to his enemies) but he has a more rigid view on what's appropriate behaviour towards certain people.

Fidelis is his wife, even if he hated her (which he doesn't), treating her cruelly or failing to care and protect her was never going to be an option in his mind.

It would besmirched his honour and standing as a Roman

In short, the core difference between their relationship in Greek and Roman mythos is that Apollo has never and would never hurt Fidelis.

Apollo(R) is more restrained and duty driven, whereas Apollon(G) allowed his hedonistic desires to drive him and took his anger at the situation out on the one person who couldn't fight back.

Their marriage was a friendship that grew into a deep love. It was the kind of marriage Roman elites aspired to achieve.

Most people of power back then rarely married for love and I can't see them culturally being the kinda of people that daydreamed of finding true love and sounding everything to follow it.

The idea of finding more within their union beyond a political agreement. Turning a stranger into a lifelong friend, partner and maybe something more? That I can see being encouraged.

Romans of all classes wanted what Fidelis and Apollo had, none more that the elites who knew how hard it could be to make such unions work.

As for Bacchus his story is close in line with the original non athenide myths, except instead of having the child raised by Nymphs and such, Jupiter entrusted his child to his heir and his wife to be raised.

Apollo and Fidelis disappeared for a while and didn't turn up again until the demigod had started ascending and it was too late for anyone to stop it.

Juno was furious but fortunately gentle Fidelis was able to sooth the Queen's rage and restore peace on Olympus.

If this is spoilers, feel free to ignore, but will anyone recognize Perse Jackson as Persedione in Marriage of Loyalty before she herself starts remembering?

because I just imagine Dionysus being the first to pick up on it (or maybe he already knows she reincarnated thanks to his Chthonic aspect) upon their first meeting, and everyone thinks he’s finally completely lost it, because of this new camper who looks just like his dead mom—treating her with the utmost respect and getting mad at Chiron for constantly trying to keep Perse in the dark about stuff she needs to know (and then telling her what is going on himself).

(I uh, am a bit salty over Percy not getting an actual explanation and being made to fumble through the mythological world for years in canon—was it too much to give the readers a scene of the kid getting an actual explanation instead of him having to figure it out while being totally overwhelmed Richard???)

maybe Dionysus goes so far as to ensure that Perse has little to no interaction with Apollo’s demigods, afraid that it will somehow get back to the lowlife ex-stepfather/brother who destroyed his beloved mother that there is a girl who looks like Persedione, and having Apollo’s obsessive tendencies towards Fidelis turned on Perse Jackson.

At this point in time Dionysus; as well as Athena and Luke; have already begun to tentatively work with Kronos under the promise that he will bring back the Athenide.

So when Poseidon's newest mortal child causes the Camp wards to react and flare with power in a way they haven't since Dio's mother died, ofcourse the deity realised what it could mean.

Perse had just defeated the Minotaur and lost her mother, her head is killing her has been since she saw Grovers legs and briefly had the image of another cloven hooved individual impose itself on top of her friend, it has only gotten worse with each impossible thing she's been introduced to, and she's suffering from the worse case of deja vu ever.

She stumbles up the hill and through the woods her mother died in and hates that they feel like home.

She's at the brink of collapse when she stumbles into a man that feels like family in a way that not even her mother did.

It's as sea green emeralds meet violet sapphires that unconscious claims Persephone Dione Jackson.

But not before; "Sweetheart..." Passes her lips, surprisingly the teen and bringing a flash of overwhelming joy to the man's face.

Perse last thought as her consciousness fades is that the older man looks far lovelier with a smile lighting up his eyes.

Dionysus brought his mother the new camper directly to his personal quarters and called upon one of the few children of Apollo he trusted (Lee) to check up on the child.

As Lee was tending to her wounds the Deity reached out to his Zagreus aspect and confirmed that the girl before him is his mother.

From there Athena and Luke are both quickly informed and the trio devise a plan to keep her safe and keep Chiron far away from the mortal Goddess.

-> Chiron is not incharge of Camp Elpis but more of a private tutor who they can't get rid of in the same way that university teachers with tenure can't just be fired. The man usually personally trains one or two demigods that he sees greatness in whilst trying to 'advise' Dionysus and the other camp leaders how to improve the camp/training.

The man had intended for Perse to be one of these students he favoured but that was quickly nipped in the bud through the joint efforts of Dio and Luke.

Chiron has alot of lee way in some regards, especially with Persedione dead but he's still required to inform camp when he finds Demigods which he didn't in this instance as he wanted to the journey to camp to be her first test.

He's not supposed to do that and Dio uses this to justify banning him from interacting with Perse (something she's grateful for).

Percy very obviously resembles all the iconography of her divine 'sister' that is dotted around camp and the greek city state so her heritage is pretty much an open secret. Most people (somewhat correctly) assume that Dio's behaviour is driven by his concern for how Zeus will react to her existence and protecting her from Apollo.

No one breathes a word about her potential heritage or appearance aloud nor in their prayers to parents for fear of bringing divine attention on the poor child.

Dionysus doesn't warn the Apollo kids off, but then again he doesn't need to.

With the exception of Lee who's acting as her healer, all the Apollo kids avoid her like the plague.

They do not want to be involved in whatever they can all feel is about to go down surrounding her (none of them have the sight but their father is the god of prophecy and they can feel it clinging to this kid).

So, is Rachel still the Oracle in the marriage of loyalty au? I think I’d be a little afraid of associating myself with Apollo knowing what he’s done if I were her, but maybe Rachel has to do it out of obligation.

...that is a very good question that I hadn't thought about till you asked so sorry it took me so long to reply.

Forewarning this became alot longer than I intended

I'm going to go with May Castellan is the Oracle.

Rachel is not the Oracle, or at least she is not the Oracle of Delphi.

One of the ripple effects of this au is that Hades didn't curse the Oracle.

Don't get me wrong, The man was still unbelievably furious at his lover's death, but he wasn't backed into the same corner he was in canon.

Persedione managed to fix things between him and Demeter (it helps that Hades is a phenomenal husband, especially when compared to Apollo) so he visits her and Persephone during spring and summer and Demeter visits during the cold months; Zeus and him are on relatively good terms thanks to Persedione and Persephone dragging the two into their odd co-parenting situation surrounding Zagreus/Dionysus (close enough that unlike Poseidon he knows the man isn't well and hasn't been since the beginning of the last century. It's hard to be angry at someone you know isn't in their right mind); Athena surprisingly has been someone he's gotten close over the past few decades too (Hades had offered comfort and someone she didn't need to be strong for and the wisdom goddess had recognised the genuine care stripped bare of manipulation for what it was and clung to it)...

Most importantly though his kids, family and court are accepted at Camp Elpis and New Athens.

Many of his kids/legacies have held or currently hold important positions within the city state and there are several temples to him and his court where offerings are laid in thanks.

Proper burial rites are being given!

So yes, Hades is angry but not enough to punish an innocent.

It helps that the Oracle is still just a child and even now Hades cannot bare to disappoint his favourite niece. Not when he will need to return to the underworld and face Persedione's ghost.

So the Oracle lives and dies a peaceful life with May Castellan (who's still a virgin because her relationship with Hermes wasn't sexual in nature) eventually taking on the mantle of Oracle of Delphi.

Apollo's Oracle's rarely find a home in Camp Elpis or New Athens, their patron antsy about having what's theirs cut off from them by the wards.

Instead they live within his closest temple to the camp with demigods visiting them for prophecies as needed when called upon to engage in a quest.

Luke still runs, the temple that houses the Oracle of Delphi is no place for children and the son of Hermes can feel the contempt that this building of caged divinity holds for him with every step he takes in it's walls.

He was not a child born of intimacy between his mother and godly father but his existence throws doubt on May Castellans purity and it hates him for it.

The priests and priestesses are worse for all that his mother, caught up in the splendor and mysticism of it all, fails to see it.

Luke in their mind is a slight against their god.

Luke has nightmares of Ichor stained floors; burning flesh, a beautiful women's screams reverberating through the temple as her pleas go unanswered and cruel gold eyes throughout most of his childhood.

These dreams do not stop until he runs, only then are they replaced by that same womens soft smile as she guides demigods of all ages and periods onwards to safety and home.

When Luke first dreams of Athena as she begs him and Thalia to protect her youngest child he can't help but notice as she smiles in relief at their agreement that she shares the same grin as the woman from his dreams.

As for Rachel, whilst she still becomes an oracle she takes on the title of Oracle or Speaker for the Grove of Dodona.

How this comes about is rather fun.

At some point during Apollo and Persedione marriage Zeus reached out to his mother for help because he did not know what to do.

Politically his hands were tied, should their marriage be ended it would have devastating consequences for their pantheon.

But the Athenide is his favourite grandchild, mother of his favourite son, daughter of his favourite child and he does not wish for her to suffer.

So he goes to Rhea who has been in a dishearteningly similar position when it came to Kronos in hopes she might know a way to help.

Rhea looks at the situation and choses to grant Persedione the only comfort she can, the same comfort that had granted the Titaness moments of solitude and respite from her mad husband.

Rhea gifts her grandchild the forest of Dodona.

The forest cannot be found or entered by men, nor anyone without its mistresses approval.

Persedione goes there officially to contemplate what her sight shows her but unofficially escapes there whenever Apollo is especially wrathful and she needs to hide until he calms.

Unlike Apollo, Persedione does not have many Oracle's/Speakers.

In fact, before Rachel, Persedione has only ever had one other Oracle.

Names mean different things to ghosts and demons, though humans rarely understand the difference.

To a demon, a true name is a vulnerability. It is a chain, a handle, a weapon. In the wrong hands, it becomes power over them.

Ghosts are different.

They do not abandon their old names out of fear. They leave them behind because they no longer fit. A ghost sheds an old identity the same way a snake sheds its skin—not to hide, but because it has outgrown it. The name they choose after death is not a disguise. It is a declaration. It is who they have become.

A ghost’s old name is not forbidden. It simply isn’t theirs anymore.

So if someone knows it, there are only two possibilities. Either they are someone the ghost trusted enough to share a piece of a life that no longer exists… or they learned it by violating that trust and insist on using a name that the ghost has already laid to rest.

One is an act of intimacy.

The other is an act of disrespect.

Too bad the Justice League never learned the difference before they stood before the Ghost King and called him by the name of a dead boy.

Danny has a formula for helping cure his neighbor/haunt owner/local undead vigilante. First have him release large amounts of corrupt ecto, usually via induced acts of violence. Give him a good, long fight in a controlled environment until his green eyes fade to teal.

Followed by a mini coma with as many blob ghosts as Danny can coax into the man's apartment. Luckily the cute revenant tends to pass out for anywhere between 6-12 hours after a good pit fuled rage. The black mail photos of Jason cuddling blobs on his couch are treasures he only shares with Sam, Tuck and Jazz.

Finally a few well placed microdoses of pure ecto in coffee and treats between brawls to keep things even.

The problem that has developed lately is that the treatment is working too well. Jason has evened out and the pits are no longer right under the surface. Jason isn't always angry anymore. Which is great, its working, his core is steadily getting better.

But he's still got gunk to filter out. So Danny has to work harder to get under his skin to coax out what's left of the pit in him.

Jason: Danny? Did you rearrange my bookshelf?

Danny: Hmm? Desicrate the sanctity of your literature? Me?... Never!

Jason: Uh huh...

Danny: Whacha gunna do 'bout it.... Princess?

This is from a while ago in the BP Discord chat. We were talking about how the kids from Canonverse get dropped into the BP verse as little kids so often and that turned into a wild AU of an AU of what if the Demigods got dropped into the BPverse transformed into baby animals. Specifically their godly parent’s sacred animals.

Like Percy gets turned into a baby horse, Jason into a calf, Clarisse into a piglet (boarlet?) etc.

And that wormed its way into my brain and I got the idea of Athena trying to catch a baby owl Annabeth. Sooo….Here we go!

A little snippet of what I'm working on:

There were songs, laughter, wine.

But, the melodies, cheer, and comforting haziness of their minds could only dull the unbearable pain(and guilt) that threatened to tear through them, until they were nothing more than a sobbing, screaming, grieving mess.

Songs turned into raging cries, laughter into pitiful hiccups and plentiful tears, while the wine removed any restraints they might've had and forced the mortals underneath them to feel their suffering, to join their Gods in their endless mourning.

All the while, the stars softly shone onto them, winking at them almost mockingly; so beautiful, so wanted and desired during millennia, yet so unreachable.

The Gods, for all their might, were doomed to always chase after the stars and always feel the pain of their incurable absence.

After all, the Divine's cruel fate wasn't just infertility, but a want, a need, for something they will forever be ruthlessly, endlessly denied.

A cradle that wasn't empty.

A mountain that didn't echo with the cries of lonely gods, but instead the laughter of precious children.

Nests that weren't cold and lifeless, rather full with the ceaseless chirping of fledglings.

Truly, the Lord of Time was ruthless.

With the mortals (those ungrateful wretches, squandering what they could only dream of) beneath them, with their healthy wombs, easily birthing child after child, and the stars(so lovely, so far away from their grasp) above, no matter where they looked, the Gods where dammed to forever be taunted with what they themselves will never have.

To have all they ever wanted so close, yet so far away.
