i, for a fact, know that childe wants to be stepped on by strong, dominant women (just like denji)

he told me so himself

i imagine reader as perhaps a fatui harbinger or perhaps some ranking similar to that of la signora, and her ability is like makima’s, in that she enforce some degree of mental control upon whatever target she so desires

when childe first meets her, hes immediately smitten. and not just smitten in a cute puupy-love way, but in a “please absolutely destroy me i will literally pay you” way

and he literally does pay her. he takes her out to dinner many times, buys her flowers, purchases assorted chocolate truffles (just how she likes them)

she probably isn’t fazed, or at least she pretends not to be. she likes seeing the violent, hedonistic warmongerer childe of the fatui harbingers stoop to groveling before a woman’s feet

and honestly, i dont even think she has to use her powers on him at all. childe is down bad because honestly it makes so much sense

i just imagine the day comes where reader actually gives in and reciprocates all of childe’s endless shows of affection

maybe he does something like bring her her afternoon tea, or perhaps eliminates one of her enemies. and as he walks in drenched in blood, smiling at the thought of having pleased his mistress, she decides to reward him by planting a kiss on his still-bloodied temple

“good boy”, she calls him, as childe basically combusts on the spot. he remains on the spot, hardly processing what just happened, as if in a trance.

reader smirks, knowing her effect on him.

imagine xiao curling up against you as you two sit under the roofed gazebo, as the rain pours down just feet away from the both of you. the mist and splash of rainwater makes xiao’s sleeveless arms shiver—the centuries of hardship havent made him immune to the cold—and he unconsciously inches closer to you. you wrap your arm around his shoulders, his eyes widening at the sudden, unwarranted touch, but he relaxes as your body warmth floods his skin, now thankful for your touch. out of the corner of your eye, you see a slight flush dust over xiao’s rain-soaked cheeks. you grin to yourself.

imagine xiao walking into your room late at night, the sound of bare feet padding across the wooden floor. he stands in your doorway, looking at you ashamedly, as he tells you that he can’t fall askeep without you next to him. you smile softly to yourself, secretly warmed at how much he needed you, as you lit the lamp by your bed, motioning for xiao to join you. he hesitantly climbs into bed with you, making sure not to disturb the pillows or the covers too much. wordlessly, you tuck him in, making sure the duvet covers his small body entirely, and that he has enough pillows to support his head and back. with a small kiss to his temple, you whisper a small “good night”, and you put out the lamp.

a/n: in honor of me leaving for school in a week…

kaeya

kaeya would beone of those students you’d think would be failing, considering how much time he spends drinking and hanging out around town with friends

but surprisingly, he’s doing extremely well in all his classes and probably has almost perfect grades. you have no idea how he manages it because you never actually see him sit down and study for exams

i think he would be a political science or prelaw major of some sort (i’m not just saying this because i’m also majoring in poli sci lol)

he’s extremely adept at oral and written arguments, and his logical reasoning ability is quite profound. all the other students in his classes are peeved at how good he is, but he never quite becomes teacher’s pet because he always has missing or late assignments

kaeya can 100% be trusted to hold your drink at a party. he’s a drinker but he never seems to get drunk. he’s also the guy to hold your hair back as you puke in a frat house toilet

as a college boyfriend, he’s definitely that one upperclassman that you date when you’re a year or two younger than him because he seems so much more mature. all his friends are also older, but they’re all really nice, thankfully

kaeya would be the type to accompany you to late-night study sessions at the library during exam season, but he won’t spend as much time studying as he will be buying starbucks and helping you fuel up. when you get too tired, he will walk you home, and depending on how he’s feeling, kaeya might let you curl up against him and fall asleep with you safely tucked under his arm

zhongli

definitely the aesthetic dark academia history major boyfriend

you can't tell me zhongli wouldn't be a history major. he already has such passion for knowledge, so he surely would have a knack for recalling all the narratives and dates that pertain to being a history major

zhongli is the model student. he works really hard all the time, his papers and stationery are all super organized, and he shows up to office hours all the time. professors love him and he's somehow always finding some great opportunity to do research with some world-renowned historians/anthropologists/etc.

he doesn't go to parties often, even though he gets invited. he's one of those guys who doesn't have a distinct friend group, but is instead friendly with all sorts of people in different groups. since he's kind of ogled by everybody on campus with eyes, zhongli is constantly getting asked out on dates or to parties, but he largely keeps to himself

occasionally, he'll hang out with you and your friends, just casually hanging out at someone's apartment and having a smoke, but nothing too crazy. zhongli does enjoy the occasional blunt, especially when it's just you and him and you two can talk about whatever the hell you want

xiao

xiao is a bit more contentious but i think he would be some type of STEM major, perhaps computer science or engineering

personally, i think his rather analytical personality suits those fields that require a little less nuance

also i think he would fit in with the comp sci crowd LMAO

all jokes aside, i actually think xiao would be a really good student. STEM fields are not easy, and a lot of the people you have to deal with are insufferable as well. he puts up with a lot, but overall his grades and performance are quite good

he is kind of one of the loners on campus; xiao mainly keeps to himself, save for the few friends he does keep, like zhongli

xiao also 100% is in like 20 different discord servers. like not even in a cringey way, but most of them are for academic purposes, but he just ends up spending a ton of time on discord and it's kind of goofy

his dorm also has a really souped up PC setup

you wouldn't really expect him to date in college, but i do think he'd be a really sweet boyfriend. he is totally inexperienced, as many people in college are, but he is very sincere and honest, and does try his best

his ideas of dates are taking you to a park or a nearby coffee shop to study for hours, but sometimes he will do something really cheesy like take you out for a movie and later buy you flowers, because that's what he's always seen in the movies

idk i just think he'd be a really cute discord server mod, computer science boyfriend (those are totally not contradictory modifiers at all)

making out with kaeya in the front seat of your car after dinner when it’s completely dark out, you sitting in his lap tilting your head down and cupping his face. kissing him like this leaves you absolutely breathless. when you pull away, you look down at him with a lovelorn smile as you thumb over his cheeks and seeing him with the same look on his face is worth absolutely everything. oh and when he gives a little laugh before leaning back up and bridging the gap to press his lips against yours again, forehead against yours, mumbling a little “i love you” before he does. loving kaeya means loving him so very deeply, and it’s always reciprocated. i just know he’s so passionate about the one he loves- it’s romance in a non traditional way and one without fluffy words so often and a reminder that love can be conveyed in a single glance

a/n: ive been starting to get nostalgic for fall/winter so this came to mind earlier

“hey [y/n]! over here!”

you turned your head in the direction of kaeya’s voice, and you were met with a faceful of powdery snow.

you spluttered a moment, and when you opened your eyes, you saw through your frozen eyelashes your boyfriend bent over backwards in raucous laughter.

without hesitation, you grabbed the largest chunk of crystalized snow you could find nearby and hurled it at kaeya. “take that, you bastard!”

you thanked your aiming skills as the large block of snow hit kaeya square in the back and split off into multiple pieces in a white flurry. kaeya fell over at the impact of the hurtling ice, and landed face-first into the thick snow.

it was now your turn to laugh, as he lay there, spread-eagled. you stomped your way over to him and kicked him softly in the side. “you good? or did i finally manage to kill you?”

a drawn out groan rumbled through kaeya as your foot met his heavily padded body. “you gonna get up, babe?” you asked, prodding him again. kaeya shifted in the snow, and pulled himself up. his long hair and dark eyebrows were now flecked with thousands of little white flakes of ice, as if adorned by little crystals.

you stretched out your hand. “up, boy!”

kaeya narrowed his eyes at you. “ooh, baby, you’re gonna regret that.” with an almost invisible speed, he had pulled you down beside of him by your outstretched hand, so that you now laid beneath him in the snow.

you tried to scowl at him, but unsuccessfully hid your joyful giggles. “you brat.”

kaeya chuckled under his breath,“you’re the brat.” he lowered a kiss onto the corner of your mouth; though his lips were ice cold, he still tasted like the hot chocolate you two had drank earlier. he pulled away, brushing some snow off your forehead. “you’re my little brat.”
