After a year, I can finally show off this little masterpiece. I worked on this embroidery for a very long time — the hardest part was keeping the portal consistent. The frames had to stay perfectly parallel, and my thread colors got mixed up ages ago, so I had to keep figuring out the neighboring frame’s colors over and over again 😮‍💨

But patience and hard work pay off in the end 🙂

I was inspired by an idea I found online, but I ordered the pattern custom — it was just a single portal frame. And in the portal there are, just for a second, twelve of them. So… the End?

Working on him was sweaty and intense. I kept remaking and resewing his entire outfit and gear again and again over the course of two years.

Most of the time went into his shoes, which I’m still not completely satisfied with…

Nevertheless, I admit he’s the most beautiful of my recent dolls
