LORE DROP i did this on word so don't mind the underline and uhhh I'm not really great with story telling so it's a mix of explanations and character's perspective! This is a finished product but i do keep on adding more explanations later in my arts (since I don't quite capture in my writing with my art) <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠>

Yes surprise! It's an amnesia au mixed transitioning to swap au, i had this concept a little while back and decided to build on it! If you don't quite follow on how it exactly transitioned, I'll explain it here (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

Andrew took Ivan in not really expecting a harmonious relationship with him, but as i said they do get along really well! This ended up making Ivan curious about their past, but Andrew didn't want to cross that line yet—as you can see Andrew is really bad with words and communicating, he's afraid that when he will tell Ivan, those very words of his will come out wrong and results to Ivan either leaving him (because of how toxic they used to be) or possibly regaining his memories, which was worse (why did he become like that? Because this Ivan's ideals are almost identical to his—this made him feel seen, validated and most importantly, understood. Something some of us craves deep down, let's just say that Ivan really hit that hidden weakness of Andrews'). This has Andrew spiral into the same conclusion that Ivan once had, he had a decision and he chosed to do the exact same thing (viewing the other as a god and wanting to stand by their side, be equal or even greater but their actions completely derailed from their original intentions) causing Andrew to slowly isolate Ivan and destroy his self esteem until Ivan fully depends on him. Of course that backfires as Ivan in this started to close off the moment Andrew went too far, in the end he did eventually escape not without having a physical confrontation with Andrew. Andrew didn't fight back though, not because he reflected on his actions, because he already knew the consequence when he saw himself in Ivan.

I added more detail here on my phone since my back was killing me when i was writing on my laptop (⁠╯⁠︵⁠╰⁠,⁠) i hope i made this message clear and for y'all to hopefully understand what I'm conveying!!

Mind you, this is ooc (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠) so ofc there are actions in which the canon characters won't do (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)
