You ever think of how horrifing it would be if the creature from Iron Lung could swim/fly out of the blood ocean like one of those whales from fantasia?

As a hottopic bitch, my entire mental sate hinges on a handful of blue gumball sons of bitches.
I like to think that Tim puffs up his cheeks when he's thinking
It's funny to me that Jason Todd all grown up looks like Bruce despite not being generically related and Damian all grown up looks a LOT like Dick despite also not being genetically related.
Idk how, but they just seem to morph into the adult/father figure that's closes to their hearts, bloodlines be damned.
The dove was shot. I watched it die. I still ate it. Scoped it off the asphalt with a spoon and everything.
wretches unceremoniously on to the ground
My hubris and my gluttony will be the death of me.
Saw Iron Lung and donated blood for the first time today!
Dear people who know me IRL,
I'm sorry but my dialogue options have been reduced to the two niche topics I have already discussed with you in length over the past few weeks. I will not be able to generate more points of conversation until my intersts have moved on to something new in 6-7 business months. Thank you for your patience and apologies for the inconvenience.
Ok, so I know that many iconic characters have nebulous ages because their stories are timeless are constantly rebooted for modern readers. But I have such strong vibes from the main robins that correlate with very specific eras.
So, I did some Headcanoning and some math and I brainstormed what I believe the Batfam members birthyears would be:
Dick Grayson: Born 1989
• Technically grew up in the 90's but was surrounded by 80's culture and music by both the circus and Bruce
• Bon jovi and other 80's music and cinima will always have a special place in his heart.
• He misses Puppets (Jim Henson was a god of creation)
• He kept up with the times fairly well untill about 2010ish.
• Now he just does whatever tf he wants.
• Cringe be damned.
Jason Todd: Born 1993
• He misses when grunge was everywhere
• Has that 90's kid pride
• He would carry a loud boom box to piss off Bruce and you can't tell me otherwise.
• Definitely had a furby at somepoint and concluded, like many, that that shit was cursed!
Tim Drake: Born 1998
• Technically a 90's kid but can claim none of the hype bc he was smol
• Y2k child
• Hotopic and beanies
• My Chemical Romance, P!ATD, Lincon Park, Nirvana
• He mastered the internet and technology in its infancy and has kepted up ever since.
• Vine and tumblr were his safe spaces.
Damian Wayne: Born 2004
• Honestly, Damian gives born in 2010's energy.
• but the math puts him here
• he hates memes no mater what generation he's in
• but you may find him trying to copy trends in private if he thinks it'll make him friends. (You'll never catch him)
• Jon keeps him informed about memes and trends.
• Jon finds things funny no matter what, tho.
• Jon showed him Gen Alpha memes once and found them hilarious!
• Damien considered ending humanity on principle.
• Jon has a tiktok and makes Damien do some trends with him when he can.
And further fictional calculations would put
Bruce Wayne: Born 1976
• Bc I think he was 21 ish when he got Dick at 8yrs old??
• That means he lost his parens around 1986 ish
Alfred: 1928
• In his 50's when Bruce was a Child and only got older from there.
Meaning, as of 2026:
Dick is 37
Jason is 33
Tim is 28
Damien is 22
Bruce is 50
And Alfred is 98
I absolutely headcanon that Apollo, despite disliking Klavier style/genre of music, absolutely loves Klavier's voice.
Like, there's the obvious "he hears him before he see him and Apollo is already smiling bc he knows who's around the corner" and "His voice speaks a concrete truth that is so reassuring to Apollo", but sometimes, in the stange hours of the night, Klavier will sit and hum.
Sometimes with a guitar, but most of the times he does this without an instrument. Just humming or softly singing to himself while he's processing something from earlier that day like the details of a case or an interesting conversation he had and Apollo low key melts when he hears it.
Apollo may never fully admit it, but there's a reason Klavier sings professionally. Even if he doesn't care for the blaring nature if his songs, The Rock Star's voice is just as effective on Apollo.
I can also see him rationalizing this to himself by saying he's keeping an ear out to determine if Klav is just thinkin or if he's spiralling, but he has a better shot at gaging that sort of thing if Klav is in eyesight of Apollo while he's humming.
My sibling and I were watching corpse bride because, 🎃spooky month🎃, and a few question came to mind. Mainly:
How do you think Lord Barcus and Lord Farquaad would get along? Or would they hate eachother?
I love my indestructible phone!
I just replaced my Samsung Note 8's battery (that exploded due to excessive exposure to heat two years ago) for the first time today using 2 microwaves, 5 wet paper towels, a dirty spoon, a pare of tongs, a butter knife, and a screwdriver. It is currently being held together by 6 peices of packing tape as I have dropped this device too many times to count and it functions perfectly well. No lag, No delay, No connection issues, Nothing.
I have had this phone for about 6 years now and it a hand-me-down from my father who had it for longer.
I refuse to let it die.
What defines a coffin? Specifically in the context of He Xuan's waters in which only coffin wood floats.
When Hua Cheng and Xie Lian make a coffin, they make a box big enough for a single person because coffins are typically used for a single person however Pei Ming says that they could have made the box bigger and it still would have been a coffin because Hua Cheng, a dead man, would have been in the box.
So the question stands, What defines a coffin? You can get into the semantics about coffin versus casket versus sarcophagus versus tomb. Due to the fact the legend is that only coffin wood would float in black water's ocean then I'm going to stick to coffin or casket since those are typically made of wood whereas a tomb is [typically] a stone room houseing the dead and a sarcophagus is [typically] a stone capsule for the dead. So beyond those semantics, what dimensions of the wooden box would constitute a is a coffin or casket?
The average dimensions would fit one person. Hua Cheng and Xie Lian used these dimensions and it worked just fine, meaning it counts. But if Pei Ming was right and they could've made it bigger then how big of a box would constitute a coffin or a casket?
Doesn't have to be relatively form fitting or a tight space? Can it be spacious or open? Does it have to be closed to be a coffin/casket?
If Hua Cheng was locked in the lower part of a boat, would they be able to sail through because technically there's a dead body surrounded by wood making the boat a giant coffin?? Could they have done that from the start?

Its so odd being in shipping culture. There are so many interesting ways to fiddle with characters, their stories, and thier dynamics. I often think about the effectiveness and importance of shipping alot. Like, whether shipping is something that can carry the weight of cannon material and societal expectations for real people or whether shipping is something more light hearted and fun without the weight. Cuz I can see it both ways.
Its weird interactting with shipping and potential relationships while being Ace and Neurodivergent. I can get into the weeds about the effectiveness of a ship as if it were a science. Like, I can understand the enjoyment of shipping and the dislike of shipping.
On one end, I think relationship dynamics can often be simplified or watered down if they become romantic. Like, people can forget these characters should be friends as well as attracted to eachother. What I mean is that I find that friendships are often written to build on and explore preexisting character traits and romance or romantic feelings can be treated as "A whole new part of a person we've never seen before😍" but its just the character behaving in plot convenient ways that overide, neglect, or destroy their pre-established character traits. Ultimately it makes both characters feel flater and less like people and more like paper dolls. And theres the case of a character being infatuated with another and the writers selling it as love but the first character never really, trully face the complexity of the other character enough to demonstrate that transition into love.
Attraction should not blind a character to the others full depth of character nor should it rob them from their own.
On the other end, I think adding a romantic or sexual tension between to people can allow for a type of exploration into emotional maturity, conflict management, internal priorities, and personal growth on both micro and macro levels. This is if you keep the characters consistent from before and after they fell in love. Thier ultimate goals, thier passions, thier sence of self, etc. should not be discarded nonchalantly. If they are, it should be a point of tension as that not healthy.
Then their's the issue of whether or not it matters what kind of characters you ship.
On one end, one can argue "Yes, it matters as it can reflect you view on both the characters and how the relate to real life dynamics. Shipping distasteful or problematic ships can allow voices to those who wish to support, romanticize, and normalize toxic or problematic behaviors in real life." And to a degree I can see that. Certain ship types like Adult/Minor are completely off the table for me personally because they make me uncomfortable. And that goes for certain toxic/manipulative ships as well. They're too real to me and can give me the ick. But certain ships with big age gaps or a very specific toxic behaviors are perfectly fine for me. Im sure there's an essay or psychological study out there explaining that experience, but the line between acceptable and unacceptable can get blurry. (And that's when debates happen)There's also a general worry that the over saturation of ships only prove to accentuate the preexisting issue of oversexualization media has. I won't lie, I think some characters should stay friends because I just want more healthy, vulnerable friends in media.
But on the other hand, there's the argument of, "It isn't always that deep. Sometimes I see a character on screen and I play with them like a little doll. Like a barbie or action figure I make dance and fly around my room because I'm board and I like seeing these two characters kiss for the hell of it. I'm not worried about the cannon or the implications, I just find it fun to play a game of what if and leave it at that." I can also agree with this to a degree. I do this all the time, cannon be damned. Crack ships, ironic ships, self insert ships, ships that slowly become unironic and ruin your life bc you sound deranged if you say it out loud without full context. It's all very fun! The issue occurs when playing becomes the object of criticism. It could be something as mundane as a person pointing out the ridiculous nature of the ship and how "That's not even close to cannon" to something more damaging like when a person accidentally leans on to a harmful stereotype or mindset that upsets and offends another person. Like someone knocking over a relatives urn and shattering it because they weren't being as mindful as they maybe should've been. Then there's debates on what is expected of people to know, how accountable someone should be, what is the correct experience to have, etc.
And I say that last one as sometimes shiping and character analysis can be greatly informed and persuaded by personal experiences. People and thier experiences are never cookie cutter perfect and often don't align or agree with eachother. One person could take great offense to a ship or interpretation bc the character they relate to would "never do that" while a different person relating to that same character can say "Yes, they would" based on their own experience.
This turned into a bit of rambling. There is little to no solution to these opposing viewpoints. A lot of it boils down to people with different experiences and personality types having to share the same dolls in a play room. Some use the characters as a means to process reality, some holding them extremely close to their sence of identity and/or place in the world. And others see them as toys ment to be played with, separate from reality and expectations.
Anyways, I'm very sick, my head hurts, and I am gonna go vomit now.
Ok, So I am consuming an absolute delicacy of an ace attorney fic right now and it has introduced a concept that I absolutely adore!!
This is fic, like many I've been feeding on recently, is centered around the first Apollo Justice Game. God! There are so many great fics for this game!
Anyways, it's a case fic where Klavier is arrested for the murder of Machi Tobaye and Apollo must find out what happened. Problem is, the evidence is stacked against them, Klavier isn't being cooperative, and the prosecutor seems to have a personal vendetta against Klavier.
Link to fic. Its super good! I haven't finished reading it yet, but I'm gonna go into some spoilers from here on out:
