For day 4 of @datvcompanionweeks' Taash Week, I interpreted the prompt quite literally! Seeing these two phrases placed next to each other in the prompt list made me realize how similar the meter of each were, and how they represent both parts of Taash's culture.

So I made a faux-ambigram cross-stitch pattern about it. This pattern will stitch to about 11inx14in on 14 count aida, and can be hung with either phrase up. The contrasting colors and overlapping letters make the right-side-up phrase prominently read, while the upside-down phrase becomes a "reflection"

Pretend I said something very meaningful here about how being from a multi-cultural background means you are sometimes more one way, sometimes the other, and sometimes both at once... I don't have time to be poetic on this post because I need to go put the corned beef in the slow cooker and make hamantaschen for my family's combined Purim/St Patrick's day meal.

I didn't have time to stitch it for this week, but this will be the perfect project for the next time I want to stab something 51,100 times.

in honour of what might have been my first ever childhood hyperfixation, my girl Crysta has officially been added to the jacket!

pattern was based heavily on the fairy from Stardew Valley but sized up with alterations (I forgot to take one of the shoulders off her top for my design but I fixed it in the pattern)

also fun fact, I actually live like not very far from the real Fern Gully, not sure if this was common knowledge outside of Australia but the movie is based in a real location, Mount Warning exists and I've seen it irl

my wwdits season 5 cross stitch is finally finished and ready to mail out to a friend! i started drafting the pattern the night this episode aired - this line hit me immediately as a summation of what the whole dang show's about.
