people say folks with adhd struggle with "delayed rewards" aka long term goals and as such we tend to focus more on short term rewards. what they don't talk about is that at when we Do accomplish long term goals we don't actually feel anything proportionate to the amount of work we did to achieve it. In my head I suffered for a while and then money spontaneously appeared in my bank account.

the thing is that i actually do enjoy romance in fiction but i also believe that romance-repulsed aros have the right to complain that NOTHING is made for them except maybe kids media. once you start to realize how pervasive romance is in every sector of society it's impossible to ignore. like you remember when there were barely any gay shows on television and straight people expected us to be grateful for the one gay side character on a network show? that's exactly how it feels with romance all the time. i want to see media created by adults for adults that doesn't involve romance anywhere in the plot. i want to see characters (main characters!!!) not want romance and not be treated as broken or crazy. i want a world where my romance-repulsed friends aren't confined to kids media (and even then, to only a limited selection)

genuinely!! like I wouldn't call myself romance repulsed, but some days, I just wanna see some fucking emotional intimacy without getting romance shoved down my throat because, stars know, that even though most days, I don't let it get to me, sometimes I get that feeling of aroace isolation (because you wanna be super close w/ ppl but the only conventional way of getting that is romantic love due to it being so emphasized and prioritized in culture) and I don't wanna think about that- show me a mature show where they actually are just really good friends, or, hell, I'd take queerplatonic, at this point-

I've been wanting to say this for bit, it's just hard to put into words. I've noticed a large push away from body diversity and a dive back into intense diet culture geared towards young women and fem presenting people in the west - which I know is so much of my audience.

Please, do not let others tell you your value based off of weight. Often these standards are pushed under the guise of health, but healthy is different for everyone. There is no singular physical manifestation that could encompass healthy for all eight billion humans.

The reality is these standards and expectations more often push people into unhealthy habits than healthy ones. As a teen I myself fell into disordered eating, and even six years later I still deal with negative health consequences today.

If you truly wish to improve yourself, focus on the relationship YOU have with YOUR body. Not the relationship others have with it, it's not about them. I know it's hard, and that the world is often unkind to those who reside outside of conventional beauty, but the reality is that it is everchanging and we all designed to fall out of a race never designed with health and happiness in mind.

There will always be people who appreciate you, and the first one you can meet is yourself.

Last, idk take your calcium and vitamin D folks, cause my trainer said your bone density is pretty much set by your 20s.
