Indefinite Hiatus

Hello friends, it’s been a while. And will probably be a while more, unless tumblr stops sucking or you follow me over to a different platform. At the moment I don’t have any places I post witchy stuff -- have an instagram for witch things but I rarely use it -- but I have art accounts on a few other platforms. I may also start using my witchy IG again at some point, but I haven’t had a lot of energy for witch stuff lately. I have to remember that I’m not obligated to share my practice with anyone. I want to do a few tarot readings for myself tonight, and I immediately started thinking, ‘oh, the sun is going down, I won’t have very good lighting to take pretty photos of the spread to share’. 

But I don’t have to share them. I don’t want to do them for anyone but myself, and I wouldn’t even be including the meaning of the reading in photos if I shared them. It’s more than okay to share photos, I like posting my daily tarot photos sometimes because I just take a quick picture without worrying about The Aesthetic™ but I’m allowed to do readings without turning them into Content for strangers to consume. 

I think this applies to everything, not just spiritual things. It applies to art, writing, photos -- you’re allowed to create things privately, just for yourself or for people close to you, it doesn’t have to always be for the masses. It’s a difficult mindset to break, but I’m trying. I’m trying to create and do things for myself without worrying about how I can use those things to get validation from strangers

My Daily Tarot Card Reading
