Iirc Jun Wu killed all the previous gods then assumed himself the emperor for all the new gods that ascended later on, but how did the first few gods react? I assume with how important gods are, however many years past before gods started popping up again, it must've been rough. Worse harvests, less luck, and less protection. So you could imagine the people spreading word of all the disappearance of the gods, even as Jun Wu might try his best to appease everyone himself for the time being. So imagine a new guy finally ascends and they see theres only 1 other guy. And he claims to be the emperor. And because he doesnt use his real name from his past, it truly just sounds like some random god named himself emperor. Now, if someone did question him, Jun Wu would probably kill or threaten him, but itd be funny to think about the new gods just straight up not believing him lol.

I hate that artfight has become popular enough to be so toxic.

I saw people deciding to delete their attacks just because they didnt get a comment on it?? Yeah it feels rude and disappointing to not be atleast thanked but you shouldn't gift someone art because u expect something in return. The art itself should be for fun and for expirementing. And theres so many different reasons why the person may not have commented. Maybe they are in the hospital?? Maybe they have horrible social anxiety and are struggling. Or just hasn't been checking their inbox. Taking back your gift because you werent thanked is selfish and ignorant.

Dont get me wrong, I bet it does suck if several attacks get no comment. And certainly dont avoid commenting on attacks you've recieved just because you dont care to. But c'mon guys just don't be jerks.

And dont get me started on all the point farming. You literally dont get anything by doing that?? You're no better at drawing than you were before just because you drew a bunch of blobs marked as full bodies.

Its so cool that this friendly competition gets to exists for free in an accessible way that it is. It got me out of a 2 year art block and im genuenly so proud of all the work I hand crafted for others. Im happy because I made art, not because I recieved something in return.

Without spoilers could anyone tell me what to expect reading Remnants of Filth? I think I read about 50 pages while at the library and liked it alot. Ive read all the mxtx books, loved all of them, tdtbpf which I liked, and A Thousand Autumns which was fine but I couldnt find myself really caring for any of the characters like I do with mxtx's books. Any recommendations or tips or anything to help a guy out before I spend all my birthday money on it?

I feel like not that many people talk about or draw the part where Binghe fought and took care of SQQ's corpse for years. Sure, I see alot of jokes about it, but truly it is agonizingly depressive just how delusional Luo Binghe was to do that. One of the extras where SQQ saw it firsthand was the only scene in the story to make me BAWL MY EYES OUT cus its such a suffocatingly miserable scene. Luo Binghe probably knew deep down that SQQ was never coming back. The love of his life was gone forever just to quench the rage he couldnt contain in the moment. Keeping his distance from his teacher just in case he betrays him again, just to sacrifice his life to gain that trust back. And that trust was given back for daily hand made meals just for the possibility if he were to awake one day. Binghe isnt an idiot, he knows it was hopeless. Yet he refused to move on despite this.

I NEED more art that captures this suffocation I feel when I think about it. Also some recommendations if u do find some would be nice 👀

I always found Hua Cheng's 'true form' confusing. At first it felt like it wasnt his true form because he didnt look anything like that when he was a scrawny war boy. But ik form isnt based on their looks because of all the animal hybrid ghosts in ghost city. I read somewhere that perhaps the form is shaped by the soul, meaning his soul wanted to be powerful enough to protect Xie Lian; therefore, he looks more powerful. I do really like this idea that he specifically built his true form with his desire to protect and satisfy Xie Lian, but I also find it interesting if his negative qualities had taken over instead, such as his hatred and pettiness towards others. Of course he loves Xie Lian more than he hates humanity but still. And if this was the case, his insecurity of his true form would honestly make more sense. It would be like Xie Lian accepting him for his negative traits as well as his good ones.

On that same note, when I first read TGCF I felt that Hua Cheng wasnt vulnerable enough. He has all the power, money, and looks he could ever ask for, yet he's still so insecure of himself. I dont feel the same way anymore but it is true that from the outside it easily appears that way. I think this concept could have a TON of narrative interest in that regard.

Id love to hear thoughts on how he might look in this way and other ideas to contribute!!

One thing I really appreciate about Amphibia is the world building. Other shows like Gravity Falls and the Owl House I feel have more iconic aesthetics rather than built up knowlege of the world like Amphibia does. The classes of frogs to toads to newts especially strikes my interest as it shows themes of classism and capitalism to kids in a way thats digestible. Now, when I first watched Amphibia as a kid I definitely did not understand this theme but im sure subconsciously I picked up a thing or two.

Also just the overall unique world is awe striking. The Owl House could be described as the average weird witch world and Gravity Falls as Oregon with anomalies but Amphibia is so much different; however, I feel thats also why its not as popular. It has such a niche target audience that the majority doesnt fall into. Of course I believe anybody could fall in love with Amphibia if they gave it a chance but the average viewer looking for a new show could be pushed off by either the gross bugs or how season 1 is more for younger audiences.

In conclusion I love amphibia and I need more moots so hmu👀

I can imagine Shang Qinghua has alot of trauma from his past life in overworking himself in his writing + his time in pidw that if Mobei-Jun ever decided to let him rest by relieving him of his stressful job, he wouldnt be able to. I often imagine him creating new problems for himself like promising a publisher a new book every week untill he inevitably burns out just because he needed something to do with himself. Or on the other hand if he wasnt relieved of his job I often imagine him creating buisness plans to make the kingdom as efficient as possible when it doesnt even affect him much.

In a world where he doesnt hold much physical power I see him using work to take control of his expertise, even if it means missing meals and a tired Mobei-Jun pulling him back to bed.
