It's kinda funny to me how there's an Important Lore Reason for why monsters in Undertale don't leave behind corpses when they die like humans do but then in Deltarune they just turn to dust for no reason.

Wait- please explain this to me, cuz I just always thought that's just what happened. Like their bodies are made of magic, so all that magic just dissolves into a formless pile of dust once they die. I've been INTENSELY in this fandom for a few years now and somehow never knew there was a lore reason in undertale

Their bodies being made of magic IS the lore reason that they turn to dust when they die.

The funny part is that they still do this in Deltarune, even though magic doesn't seem to exist outside of Dark Worlds.

I don't actually think you meed to play Undertale before getting into Deltarune (and I am saying this as someone who LOVES Undertale) but the idea of someone playing them in reverse order does tickle me because the name of the big twist antagonist in UT is given away like only a few minutes into DR.
