Some said that the burning vineyards had destroyed not only the family's pride and prosperity, but also the heart of Lord Fabrizio Trezza himself. It was as if the great misfortune that had struck Trezza had transformed the heir in just one day. But this was a mistaken conclusion made by those who had never truly known him. His change had begun long ago with a story as familiar and fateful as any tragedy, yet still cruel and hurtful. It had forged the man everyone knew - the proud and determined Fabrizio, who was willing to sacrifice everything to restore his famous family's position, even though he was in the eye of the storm in Verona, balancing between families who were ready to do anything to destroy each other, burning like the endless vineyards - destroyed in just a few hours.
Fabo's story began many years ago in a family that had high expectations for their firstborn son. His father, overjoyed that fate had smiled upon him, began shaping his heir from an early age. And while the other children were playing outside, the boy had to attend lesson after lesson, exercise after exercise. And as we know, the forbidden is always the sweetest. Fabrizio grew up rebelling and wanting what he didn't have - freedom. His temperament often betrayed him, disappointing his parents and planting in them the doubt that he might one day ruin the family. Their attitude hurt and disappointed him, causing him to seek solace in everything else but conversations with those who were truly important to him.
And then he met herโฆ
Their love was worthy of the greatest tragedy known in literature during that period. It was grand, passionate, and beautiful, but impossible. Fabrizio loved so deeply, burned for his beloved, and was ready to abandon everything and everyone to be with her until his last breath. The Trezzas would have been relieved if he were gone. His brother, more gifted and intelligent, would have carried the burden far better. The plan was perfect, and everyone would have been satisfied, but life decided otherwise.
Fabo's heart was left in ruins.
Another disappointment pushed him into the arms of work, and before long he proved to his father that he was ready to fulfill the mission he had been born for. There was no trace left of his boisterous character, and his adventures were no longer of any interest. Over time, he withdrew further, distancing himself from the world and hiding his true self. But the last straw - the thing that changed him, turning him from a beautiful spring day into the fiercest winter day - was the sight that turned his blue eyes red: the burning vines.
Their lives, completely shattered, had to go on far from the memory of the tragedy. Someday they would return home again. When the time was right.
