So I heard some people were complaining that the leaks behind Hollyberry's Awakened form somehow "made her skinnier" or "she looks thinner" and I am here to help clear up this misconception as Hollyberry is my absolute favorite ancient and it hurts that people are making quick assumptions about her new awakened form that isn't even officially introduced yet.

A few days ago, some recent leaks have came out revealling Hollyberry's Awakened form via the next Kingdom Arena seasonal statue. While the design was met with a lotta positive reception, some people have mistakenly viewed the new awakened form as being "skinnier" than her original form, which is just not true if you give the statue another look.

I went to the image in question and outlined the overall shape of her body in this statue, and the result I got was interesting.

As you can see here, while not exactly being fat fat, she very clearly is more built compared to the likes of the average cookie. She's got a wider frame (particularily in the upper area), defined muscle, and overall has a little more dough baked into her, giving her the broader figure. She is NOT skinny in the slightest, awakened or not. If you think she looks skinnier, it's most likely because of the perspective of the statue making her look that way.

If you need more evidence showing that this has been her body type and that she's not been changed in the slightest, then look no further than her appearance in The Legend of the Red Dragon campaign

Despite the heavy armor she is wearing, you can trace out a very similar, if not, the same silhouette as the one I traced out from her awakened form.

I think where people get the conception that her figure is much larger than it actually is is from her default ballroom dress which naturally has a much puffier look, giving her a wider frame. So notably when you remove the ballroom dress in favor of more heavy armor, she is gonna look a bit different.

Nevertheless, armored or not, her figure is always gonna be represented as this bulky, strong woman.

Now, if you REALLY need a body comparison between her and an ACTUAL skinny cookie to help you out, look no further than the average cookie. Let's take Espresso as an example.

Slim figure, no muscle, no broader mass anywhere on the body. THAT is what a skinny cookie looks like.

Hopefully this post clears some things up. Don't worry, they didn't do anything to her body guys, she's still the big, beautiful queen we all know and love ^^' And don't let this post stop you from seeing her anymore plus sized. I myself imagine her to be a big, chubby strong woman, so keep up with your headcanons <3

Update now that her trailer is officially out:

again I'm seeing the same complaints that they made her skinnier in the animation and so I traced out the silhouette again

With this, while I can see why people think she's skinnier here, I want you to take a look at what's happening here. She's holding her shield up high, stretching her body upwards as if doing a victorious "you cannot beat me!" kinda body language. She is more stretched out, yes, but if we look at the silhouette again and compare it to the previous one, you'll notice how similar they are, wonky perspective aside.

And hey, why don't I trace out that silhouette of Espresso while I'm at it?

Hmmm.... doesn't have as much broader mass as the Hollyberry silhouettes.

Now I understand why some people would still be disappointed by this revelation as a lot of people really saw Hollyberry as being plus sized, so to see her awakened form and come to the realization she's more strong than fat can still be very demeaning, especially since there's not a whole lot of plus sized rep in Cookie Run. But think of it this way, we still have a strongly built woman which is also a rarity to see in the series.

And again, please do not let this stop you from seeing her more plus sized or being both chonk and stronk as the late 2010's would say. At the end of the day, they are cookies with subtle and blatant anthropormorphic traits and how you interpret those in your humanized fanarts and headcanons is ultimately up to you.

Genuinely not trying to be a dick here, but trying to act as if her armored outfit would resemble the awakened form's build is kinda like extremely incorrect

Her victory pose, while yeah stretching her out, would not make her THAT noticeably skinnier, as someone's who fat I can confirm this. Her shoulders are noticeably less wide and her arms are SIGNIFICANTLY thinner (<- which you can't use the armor excuse for since her arms aren't covered in as thick of armor).

And the espresso point falls flat because no one is claiming she is THAT skinny ? They're just saying they made her skinnier, no one's claiming she's got that twink-ish build now LOL

Elder Faerie and White Lily Analysis because I NEED to talk about them...

What I'm about to say can be interpreted romantically or platonically, literally however you see fit 👍 I just want their relationship in general to be talked about more because it's so, so good...

(Putting it under a cut because it's a bit long LOL)

A lot of this hinges on a specific scene from Episode 1 of Beast-Yeast, that being "White Lily Cookie's Memories V" (creative title, wow !). It's the most important flashback between the two of them I'd say, and really exemplifies the dynamic between them.

This scene was the single strongest moment in ep. 1-2 and probably the most well written moment. White Lily was at her strongest here, in terms of characterization and general writing. She truly felt like herself, something that sort of lacked in other parts of the episode. God, I love her in this scene... but onto the actual title of the post !

In relation to Elder Faerie, the symbolism between them throughout their entire relationship is so, so good. The butterfly and the flower; the themes of freedom of choice and deciding your own fate vs. being rooted in one place for a single. clear purpose. The fact that it's a reversal of who you think would be who. White Lily being the flower, something usually stuck in one place for its life, as the one yearning for more in her life. Elder Faerie being the butterfly, a creature that can move freely as it wishes, as the one that's trapped in one spot due to a mission given to him years ago. It's so emblematic of the things they desire the most. Of course a flower would yearn for movement and freedom while a butterfly would yearn for consistency and a home. But their yearning is technically accomplished, White Lily can move where she pleases and Elder Faerie does have a defined role. Yet they both are still missing something despite that, especially for White Lily. Which I think just furthers the metaphor, the flower being the one desiring harder than the butterfly because it has to fight even harder for any goal.

Also the fact the mutualistic relationship between a butterfly and a flower ends up being both of their downfalls. There connection and relationship to one another causes both of their deaths, in a figurative sense for White Lily and in a very real sense for Elder Faerie. Both of their choices were obviously their own, but those were choices they could not have made without knowing the other. WL needed the knowledge from the Faerie Kingdom and from EF in order to make her choice to go to the Banquet, ending as her turning into Dark Enchantress. EF needed WL and her strength in order to seal the Silver Tree and protect the world, ending up with him dying in order for White Lily to take his power and fulfill his role. They both got what they wanted, at the cost of losing everything, because of each other.

They were doomed from the moment they met. The second White Lily saved Silverbell's life and was taken to the Kingdom. The second Elder Faerie met this stranger from a faraway continent. There was never any hope for them. And yet they managed to give each other the solution to their ultimate desires and goals... I'm going to be sick
