more a headcanon-ish fanwork, as i assume painters, sculptors, and bards of sanbreque would have romanticized and glorified dion after he won over the strait of autha during the battle of the twin realms. of course, this work is also heavily based on a statue of 'saint michael the archangel' and dion's character cgi render.

dynast. // have been watching yugioh! gx recently out of sheer curiosity, years too late that is. eventually became invested in elements of the lore which definitely needed more exploration but it is what it is now. i decided to paint an experimental portrait of "haou" as i had imagined him to look based on his first appearance silhouette.
