More on my sharks as horses bullshit:

I couldn't decide for Misa, but there is two strong contenders.

First up we have the Konik Polski. They are shorter and sturdier.

Secondly we have a Mustang. They are a bit taller and thinner. I can't decide what suits him more.

One commonality is the lighter brownish coat, with dark manes, leg and face markings. I can't explain why those characteristics are so Misa to me, they just are.

Hi Sam!! Big horse guy

This made me think about what kind of horse Sam would be.

I was never a horse girl™ (turns out I was neither a horse person, nor a girl but that is irrelevant), but to me he would definitely be a Draft Horse. Big and sturdy, hardworking and reliable, square! (Also Roman noses are more common in draft horses, and I think that muzzle shape fits well with Sam's nose shape)

I did some surface level research so take the following with a grain of salt:

I think he would be a Clydesdale. They are described as laid-back, happy and people oriented, which sounds very Sam. They like to play and prance.

When in groups they like to nuzzle and rub eachother, and Sam seems like a very tactile person to me (even if with him it tends to be more aggressive, what with the shoving and pulling, but he also tends to pat his teammates heads during cellys which in my head is the human equivalent to horses nuzzling)

They also tend to get sunburn on their noses, and Sam looked a little red compared to Misa in the podcast episode, whether that's just his normal complexion or a possible sunburn from golfing the day before, I don't know. But it just seems fitting.

Now onto some pictures:

I feel like he would have a Bay Sobino coat (bay/brown as base colour with irregular white markings), but I can't explain why.

I also think he'd have a shorter tail, but the fluffy kind of short, like this horse:

Anygays, these were my mostly uneducated thoughts on horse Sam!!

Love and adore big horses whether they be people or real horses!! I see him as a sugarbush draft (appaloosa percheron cross) mostly because the white like you mentioned. He absolutely does have spots or dappling thank you for saying it

Also because they're less feathered. He's kinda scruffy but otherwise a pretty clean cut guy. VERY CORRECT he has a short trimmed tail, can't have that getting in the way of his cart

Omg no you are actually so correct, that is Sam!! The left picture especially just looks so Sam it's unreal.

I do adore the feathered look, but I'm unsure if it feels Sam to me or if it's just a personal bias.

I'm glad we agree that he is a draft horse with white spots and a trimmed tail :D

First off, this fic was incredible, I adored the characterization and Sam's inner voice!! Go read it :D

But the reason I am making this post is that Sam (and Misa) are stronger than me. Kneeling on gravel is really, very painful (I was trying to get a better look at a baby newt in a pond, there is still dents on my knees)

I love the way Sam turns, or even takes steps forward, to face the interviewers fully. He is such a people person and so attentive and lovely.

Sam has a new tiny scar every interview I watch of him.

Like the kind that obviously fade fast and aren't that noticeable, but he's had two cuts close to his mouth and one higher up on his cheekbone and these are only the ones I can remember right now, there very well could have been more.
