🕊 Nadin’s Hope: A Mother, A Memory, A Future
Hello, my name is Nadin. I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate, a wife—and now, a mother.
I finished my design studies just before the war began. I had dreams of starting a small studio, of creating art that told stories. I used to think about colors and fonts and the future.
Then, the war came. And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.
On October 22, 2023, I learned I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home, killing 25 members—his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews—entire branches of our family in seconds.
We were displaced twice. Everything was gone—home, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebration—not even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.
Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.
Today, Israel’s government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forces—not Israel—but with no clear path to peace or normalcy.
The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.
Aid remains blocked, water is scarce, and many risk dying of hunger or disease long before future promises arrive.
We Don’t Know What Comes Next There’s no clear path forward—only uncertainty for our daughter’s life and our ability to survive another day.
My name is Nadin, and I’m a mother from Gaza.
How You Can Help I’m asking for support—not for comfort, but for survival:
Help us meet basic needs so we can breathe, heal, and preserve a world for our daughter.
Support us as I try to stand again on my own feet—even a glimmer of stability matters.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. If you can give—thank you. If you can’t—just sharing this post is a lifeline I will never forget.

Title: My Baby Was Born in a War Zone. Now I’m Just Trying to Keep Him Alive.
The price of a box of milk is $80, the price of a box of diapers is $100, and the price of flour is $800.
Hello, my name is Enas Hajjo. I’m 30 years old, and I live in Gaza. A few days ago, I gave birth to my baby boy during one of the most terrifying times of my life. The birth was extremely difficult—not because of any medical condition, but because there is no food, no medicine, and no safety here anymore. Everything around us has been destroyed, including my home.
Despite everything, I’m so grateful my baby was born alive and safe. I’ve dreamed of becoming a mother for so long. That dream finally came true, but now I’m facing a nightmare I never imagined—trying to keep my newborn alive without the basic necessities.
Because of the war, the price of baby formula has skyrocketed to $80 per can, and a single pack of diapers costs $100—prices that are completely out of reach for me and so many others. I can’t breastfeed because I’m suffering from severe malnutrition. My body simply can’t produce milk.
My baby cries constantly, and I know it’s because he’s hungry. I hold him close, try to comfort him, but nothing replaces the nourishment he needs.
Do you know why baby formula is the most important thing?
Because most babies have stopped breastfeeding,
and the reason is their mothers' breasts have dried up due to starvation!
A week old baby
How can they endure hunger? What can they do?
Their continuous crying from hunger—how can it stop, other than by death? 💔
A real question that needs a real answer, world!
Please, I’m begging from the depths of a mother’s heart—help me feed my baby. Help me give him the chance to survive, to grow, to live beyond this war.

Help Ahmed and his father
Ahmed ( @mazen-fmaily ) has been fundraising to help his elderly father. His dad faces a variety of health complications, including hepatitis, kidney disease, and heart issues. He relies on machines and ventilators for life support and Ahmed has to keep up with medical payments in order to keep him connected. On top of life support, Ahmed's father also needs daily dialysis treatments and oxygen. Serious emergencies sometimes arise where his father needs surgery.
Now Ahmed is also facing medical costs of his own. He was shot at while trying to collect aid for him and his father. He needs surgery to reconnect the tendons in his leg, or else it will have to be amputated. I have not included photos of Ahmed's bandaged leg to hopefully avoid this post being flagged, but if you need to see them yourself, Ahmed shared some photos in this post
Ahmed is the sole provider for his father. His dad relies on him not only for his health, but also to bring him food and water. Ahmed already had to walk long distances and put himself in harms way to find food for him and his dad, but now his leg is injured and he may even lose it.
Please share and donate if you can. Ahmed has a chuffed and a friend is also collecting funds for him through paypal. Donations through paypal reach him faster, so please donate there if possible. When using paypal, please add a note that the money is for Ahmed because Xana is collecting money for other families as well.
Go to paypal.me/xanadoodle and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.

Hello friends, I am Abdullah Salem Abdullah Jaafar, 26 years old, a graduate of the University College with a degree in Information Technology - Multimedia. I used to have a beautiful family; I’m married and have four children, and my wife is pregnant.
I previously worked at a multimedia company, but because of the war, I lost my job, my home, my car, and now I have no place to live or work.
During the war, we were forced to evacuate more than four times. Each time, we had to leave everything behind without taking any of our personal belongings.
I live in northern Gaza.
We were displaced to southern Gaza, then to Deir al-Balah, then to Rafah, and now we live in an uninhabitable tent that is not suitable for living.
My daughter Rahaf was martyred in the war due to Israeli airstrikes. Now I have Iman, Malak, Basel, and my wife is in her seventh month of pregnancy.
Please, I am in desperate need of your help just to provide food and water for my children.
I lost my home and we have become homeless."

Save my family from hunger
My name is Abdullah Al-Qassab, I’m 27 years old, and I am writing this message with trembling hands and an empty stomach — from Gaza.
Before the war, I had a small travel agency something I built with love, effort, and hope.I dreamed of a simple life… a dignified life.
But the war didn’t just destroy my home and business —it shattered my ability to dream.
Today, I’m not asking for dreams.I’m asking for bread. For water. For life I now live with my family in the open — no walls, no roof, just the cold ground beneath us.
We are in a catastrophic famine.
We go days without food.
We faint in the street from hunger.
Our bodies are giving up.
And still… the world remains silent.
My mother has a heart condition — she needs medicine and special food.
Now she lies in pain, her chest aching, and I have nothing to give her. My grandmother has high blood pressure — worsened by hunger and cold nights.
Her body is shrinking before my eyes.
And me😞?
I’ve collapsed more than once from weakness. From not eating. But I stand up again… because they need me.
What do you call this life?
Sleeping on the dirt… watching your family starve… praying your heart doesn’t stop before help arrives? This is not a life. This is a slow death. To anyone reading this Please… don’t turn away from me.
Help me buy food before we collapse again. Help me get medicine before my mother’s heart gives out.
Help me bring even one moment of comfort to my grandmother before it’s too late.
I’m not asking for luxury.
I’m not asking for comfort.
> I’m begging for survival.
Even the smallest act of kindness could mean the world to us. Please… save us from this hunger.

My child is dying... and I just watch.
I have nothing... no medicine, no oxygen, no money, not even a safe place to sit and cry.
I am a mother from Gaza. From the south. From a land that has known nothing but bombing, death, and dust
From a neighborhood once inhabited by children playing... and now buried under rubble.Everything is destroyed. Everything is burned. Nothing remains. Even my voice is no longer audible
My only child is in my arms now...He doesn't move. He doesn't speak. He doesn't scream. He breathes slowly, as if every breath is a miracle. His face is yellow...
His eyes are closed... His body is weak and cold as death.I feel him slipping away from me... moment by moment. And I can't save him.I just cry... I call his name... and I hold him tightly as if I'm fighting fate.
He was sick... severe pneumonia.I took him to the hospital, where they said his condition was critical. There weren't enough machines.
The doctors were exhausted, working without electricity, without medicine, without anything. But we held on to hope... despite the pain. Despite the cold. Despite the collapse of life around us.Then camethe occupation.
The army stormed the city.
The shelling began on us from every side. They bombed the hospitals. They bombed the streets. Even the places we thought were safe.I screamed as I ran with my baby in my arms. The doctors shouted, "Get out! Get out! The place is going to be bombed!"I saw children having their breathing tubes ripped out of their mouths, patients thrown into the streets, and mothers collapsing.I saw a nurse crying as she tried to save a child... then she too fell to the ground.I left the hospital, not knowing where to go.Bombs falling.
Corpses in the streets. Blood on the walls.Everything was silent... except my heart, which was about to explode with terror. I walked for a long time carrying my child...I was screaming, "Is anyone there? Is there a doctor? Is there oxygen?"But no one answered. All the doors were closed. All the faces were shocked.
And death awaited us around every corner. Now, my child is dying. With every passing minute... he suffocates more With every second... he dies more. And I... hold his little hand... and say, "Be patient, my love...
Forgive me, forgive me, I couldn't protect you."
They told me there was only one chance... to transfer him outside Gaza for treatment, and I would have to pay the exorbitant costs.
But how ? No money
I don't even have a blanket to cover him.
My home is destroyed. My family is under the rubble. No food. No water. No life. All I have left is this child... and these last moments with him
Please....😭😭💔
Help me
Before I close his eyes with my hand. Before I place him in a shroud that's too small for his tiny body. Before I bury him alone, under a tree or among the rubble...

I am Asmaa Shaqliya from Gaza. We are a family of 10. We have spent the entire war together, from one displacement to another. We have been displaced seven or more times since the beginning of the war. We are extremely exhausted. We cannot afford any of the necessities of life. Our home has been reduced to rubble. Everything around us has been destroyed. We have been forced to live in schools and shelters. We cannot find a source of income. Our situation is extremely difficult. I married my cousin five months ago, and he is in the same situation as us, or even worse. We miraculously survived the bombing and destruction in Khan Younis. We went to the Mawasi area. I live in dilapidated tents. I am pregnant. I suffer from malnutrition and severe vitamin deficiency.
I need treatment. We have no money, and the water is polluted. We can barely find it. The extent of our suffering is indescribable. In the midst of this war, there is no work or anything to earn a living. The situation is extremely difficult. We cannot afford to live, and I cannot buy food or medicine. My situation is extremely difficult. We are still being massively displaced. We left without clothes or anything. That's why I created this link to help me survive. I hope you can help me. My daughter who will be born into this life.
I hope you help me and stand beside me in this bad situation and donate Wu Lu for $ 10

not enjoying some of the messages these popular precolonial filipino creators are sending in regards with slavery.
debt slavery is slavery, period. lessening the poignancy of its lived reality by comparisons with chattel slavery — that is: insinuating, if not stating outright, that it was somehow less dehumanizing than other forms of slavery because one could repay their way out of enslavement versus being born enslaved — is nonsense. it’s a tactic not unlike the way asians minimize the impact of colorism with excuses about it being motivated by class rather than race or ethnicity: not only is it only partially true but the replacing factor (in this case, classism) is no more acceptable nor moral than the original one at hand (racial and ethnic discrimination).
history is not for sanitization, it’s for learning about where you and other people came from + understanding the events which led to your life today. the philippines is a country that runs on debt.
