What's your opinion on Williams after all the hype for this year for them to be one of the worst cars on the grid?
Hi hi, sorry for the late response!
you best believe i'm reveling in their demise hehehe and bc i'm a professional hater i kept up with all of their car troubles since they failed that first crash test
like how do you manage to fail it thrice in total and then still deny that your car is drastically overweight?!
and then parts being so long delayed that they had to miss the shakedown after all the hype, as you said, JV built over the last season (and already towards the end of '24)
my guess is their first prototype crashed and burned in the aero lab so they had to scrap it and scramble to think of a new concept all together
and don't get me on the whole three-wheeling situation Alex revealed they've got going on which is, fun fact, the SAME FUCKING ISSUE they dealt with at the start of the ground effect era and only finally fixed with the updates they brought after they threw out Logan
If AM weren't struggling as much as they are, the media would be on JV's ass instead which just confirms the opinion of JV i hold since his Merc days... he might be a good strategist but that doesn't make you a good TP
for that you need to have knowledge on how a team can be best improved and i don't talk about which measures might bring the biggest immediate improvement but about what fits the reigning philosophy and go from there.
following the data is good, i love data, but thinking that you can turn a team infused by the spirit of one of the biggest dreamers and romantics this sport has ever seen into a high-velocity, data-driven Merc clone is utter delusion. especially over only the span of a couple seasons
to summarize, i hope this whole situation will end up being JV's downfall tho i think he'll only still get sacked this year if they keep on shitting the bed tho since two of their immediate competitors qualifying for ADUO by extension, things look good :3
