Winter has settled into my bones and I don’t think it’ll take long for the frost to seep in.

The sadness was waning, and my confidence oddly high, I set off to establish what I wanted. No longer ruled by the impulse of “need”. I’ve never know what I needed, only what I’ve desired and I don’t think age has altered that notion. I always kept in mind the importance of knowing myself, the self-awareness so potent, so loudly and chaotic - following useless trajectories into the abyss. Always wanting more and more.

I’ve never been comfortable with the silky silence that accompanies me as I watch myself changing, only cherishing it with nostalgia once my eyes finally adjust.
