Rewatch Atlantis

We need Atlantis to be shown on TV again. We need to remind ourselves of how much of a good show it was. We need them to replay it on TV so that the ratings will go up. We need a producer to finally realize the potential of this show. We need to fangirl/boy about the show again. We need to do huge meta analysis on the tiniest of things for the first time (just because I don’t think there were enough)

The best thing about pythacarus (or worst, depends on how you look at it) was that Icarus was trying so hard to be lowkey around Pyth because we all know he was in love with him from the start, but he failed so miserably ?? Icarus my guy you do not touch a friend like that if you’re not in love with them ??? get a grip my man

ok so i am super thankful that Icarus didn't die in the finale but can you imagine if he did? if he just lay there and died in pythagoras' arms? pyth would still have kissed him, without a doubt. but it would have been a desperate kiss, him trying as hard as he could to just bring icarus back through any way possible and then, when pyth finally realises that icarus isn't going to wake up, he just... breaks he's screaming, not caring who hears anymore, but consumed with the knowledge that icarus won't - that icarus can't - hear him. he's whispering, voice cracking, that he loves him and he always had. but he is too late the boy who's lost everything, everyone: another death on his hands icarus had always been there for him, he was the one certainty in pyth's life, but now he is gone and pyth has never felt more alone this time, hercules has to drag him away.

so these are some of my personal headcanons for a few of the atlantis characters: pythagoras: gay, because after all of the "in all of the time that I've known you, you've never been with a woman" type stuff, and his complete adoration of Icarus, it was my main theory icarus: pansexual, because he strikes me as the kind of guy who falls in love with people regardless of their gender. he likes a person for who they are, idk medea: bisexual, because she fell for jason but ngl a part of me kinda also shipped her with ariadne medusa: demisexual, because i personally see her as needing a strong personal bond with a person before feeling sexual attraction - it certainly seemed that way with hercules

LGBT (his only known love interest is a man named Icarus). From BBC series Atlantis. Based on ancient Greek myth and history.

Pythagoras is portrayed as a young man who is intelligent, a logical thinker, and finds joy in the pursuit of knowledge. Early in the series, one of his friends notes that they’ve never seen Pythagoras in love. Later on, he falls in love with Icarus and kisses him as he (Icarus) lays dying from a fall.
