I should probably get tested alone
(1) Ask my grandma to come with me - No, she has enough health issues of her own. You’re not making her health better, so don’t make it go worse.
(2) My mom - Same reason in (1). Plus you don’t really feel comfortable doing that, do you? Quit the pretense.
(3) My brother - He has enough university student issues to deal with, don’t bother him. He has everything ahead of him, unlike you, so don’t be a drag.
(4) My dad - You never gave a centavo for his cataract treatment so why would you deserve his company on a time like this? You’d probably die of guilt as his unhealthy eyes stare at you with concern.
(5) The guy you’re so obsessed with but doesn’t feel the same way towards you anymore, but talks to you quite consistently anyway a.k.a. the first and last (?) ex-boyfriend - DO YOU REALLY THINK HE CARES ABOUT YOU AT THAT LEVEL???? GURL???
(6) The female best friend - Yes, maybe her. But she will have to take a day off from work. She’s on the early part of her career, so no. And what if she declines? That will surely suck.
I wish my little sister can grow up now. It’s comforting to think that I have a dependable friend in my 10-year old sister. But what burden would it bring to her to see me at my weakest.
It’s probably too late to get insured. Yes, you, insurance people in facebook and linkedin. Yes, you are right.
I should probably get tested alone. Diabetes is manageable, anyway. Here’s to hoping that this is all hypochondria.
