Has it been long enough that i can admit that i realllly did not like the 15th doctor. I watched every single episode hoping so bad that it would get better.

Ncuti gatwa is incredible, this isnt directed towards him of course. but his character was insufferable in a way that the doctor has never been (even 11 wasnt that bad oml). The doctors whole thing is being insufferable but 15 was like... idk that gay you know that emotionally manipulates women into being his friend 😭 They wanted to write a doctor with more emotional depth but then made him 1 dimensional and kinda... creepy. The doctors of nuwho have always been a bit bad at considering their friend's feelings/opening up to them. But he straight up kidnaps belinda and then forces her to enjoy the ride she didnt want to be on. There was zero chemistry between him and ruby (i wanted to love her so bad but she was almost as bland as he was IM SORRY).

Im saying this as someone that genuinely liked the 13th doctor and hate when people say "jodie was a great doctor but the writing was bad." It was that bad. It's not ncuti's fault because i think his character was all over the place and i dont think he had long enough to get a feel of him, but he didnt really play him right either. He played him a bit cartoonishly so when the serious moments happened, it felt very shallow. Ncuti has the range. He is excellent at boisterous characters, at comedy and drama. Balancing joy and sadness. So why did they try to pigeonhole him as the silly fun times doctor that cries sometimes??? Rtd you will pay for your crimes

Remember when Jodie Whitaker regenerated into David Tenant and rather than wearing the previous doctors clothes like every single new who doctor before him he magically regenerated with his own fuckass suit because rtd said her outfit which was specifically designed to be androgynous was too feminine for David Tenant to wear and it would look silly. It was all over from that moment. Like it was over. The fact that she even regenerated into David Tenant in the first place was bad enough. Anyway.

i don’t understand how neil gaiman intellectual properties still trend on here so regularly he literally trafficked women. like it’s not even a discourse thing or a “he’s problematic” thing he was “cancelled” for human trafficking. he repeatedly isolated women, usually his or his ex-wife’s fans, with no support system for the purpose of raping them while they were dependent on him for income and housing. that’s human trafficking

And to all his former fans… Neil Gaiman is not your dad. You didn’t know him on a personal level. He wrote stories you liked, and he turned out to be a power-hungry monster.

He didn’t betray you. He betrayed the trust of the women he employed. I’ve never seen such a case of former fans making an abuse narrative about them, when there are women who were materially, physically harmed by him.

The horror of this story is not that you had liked Sandman. It’s in the abuse he perpetrated against multiple young homeless women and against his son. So many people have lost the plot with Neil Gaiman, it’s baffling.
