Watching Reality TV With the Heralds

Warnings: None; fluffy fluff. My husband is making me watch Vanderpump Rules. Joseph, Jacob, John, and Faith. Domestic af.

Joseph:

I’m going to be honest, he hates it. But he loves you so, he’s willing to give it a shot. He is overly concerned about everyone’s mental health. He just doesn’t understand how these people can function so chaotically. He uses it to talk about the dangers of overconsumption, and may even come up with a few sermons based on what you’re watching.

He enjoys sitting on the couch with you and cuddling. He’ll gently thread his fingers through your hair or scratch your scalp. He dozes, his head dipping onto your shoulder.

Jacob:

He outright refuses, but starts lurking behind the couch when while you watch. He brings you snacks and drinks, and asks you a million questions. You invite him to watch it with you AGAIN, and finally he relents, but he brings a book , or cleans one of his guns, or sharpens one of his knives.

He eventually abandons whatever is keeping his hands busy and pulls your legs into his lap. He’ll rub gentle circles on your knees.

John:

Is so about it. He brings out cozy blankets, mood lighting, snacks. You guys have to pause it frequently so you can debrief and discuss the drama as if you ACTUALLY know these people. He will be so upset if you watch it without him.

He absolutely smothers you, reclining his whole weight back on you and begs for head scratches.

Faith:

Agrees, but wants to build a cozy blanket fort to watch them in. Asks a million questions even though you guys are watching this both at the same time. She somehow is able to guess almost every scandalous moment before it happens.

Lays her head in your lap and gasps and clutches your leg anytime there is a big reveal.

not my usual stuff but i’m going to get on ssri’s today and i’m really fucking nervous. was on lexapro after my dad died but i did NOT react well to it. (i also was a not-so-functioning alcoholic at the time and we know that’s not a great mix).

i’m just like… exhausted. between the depression, anxiety, and OCD on top of being a stay-at-home mom/working part-time from home. i just feel… not real. and the thoughts are getting dark and gross again and fuuuuck. these meds better balance my shit out and give me a fat ass is all i’m saying.
