So when Rose made a portal with Lion, it came with what looks like an Acacia (?)

When Steven made a portal, it was with what looks like an Oak (?)

which means…

An Acacia tree represents fortitude and the immortality of the soul (because its an ever green). So I guess Lion has an Acacia tree because he maybe died painfully, but endured it and carried on.

An Oak tree represents wisdom and strength. So maybe Lars' tree is an Oak tree because he has emotionally matured during the last few episodes. He has also shown incredible strength.

Maybe the trees are a representation of what Steven and Rose saw of Lars and Lion. Steven sees Lars as wise and strong. Maybe when Rose healed lion she say him as fortitudinous
