Backstory

Marley grew up resenting the mother who ran off with her boss to start a new life, leaving Mr. Haines heartbroken, unable to move on and Marley full of a rage she could never quite understand. Mr. Haines needed a distraction from his grief, having a hard time as a single dad of a little girl who was the spitting image of her mother, so he poured himself into his work. Instead of leaving Marley at home he brought the young girl to his motorcycle shop, letting her help by cleaning parts, to eventually letting her help build and repair the bikes. Instead of dance lessons like the other girls, Marley spent her childhood hanging out in a dirty, greasy motorcycle shop with a bunch of scary bikers while listening to punk rock music. Fixing and riding bikes was just kind of what she did, and what people in her town knew her for. Her and her dad have always been thick as thieves, so much so that Marley never felt like she was missing out on something by not having a maternal figure in her life. Although, the older she gets she’s started to wonder if the feeling of inadequacy that she holds deep down is because of her mothers abandonment.

In high school she was popular with the boys, but not because of her good looks, instead Marley was known as one of the guys because she was always helping them fix their cars with her mechanical knowledge. She’s kind of girl who would show up to her friends house an hour late with a case of beer, ready to sit around and play video games all night. She never really had many close friends because she was always hanging out with her socially awkward dad in the garage or doing favors for people at school. Now that she’s all grown up, Marley has her own apartment down the street from her dads house and still comes home every Sunday to make him dinner. Despite her love for motorcycles she’s enrolled at the local culinary school, wanting to indulge her own dreams but continuing to work part time down at the shop. 

Marley pretends not to be affected by things, though she’s really lonely, even though she would never show it. Always around to help someone else fix their car for free, she’s sick of being one of the guys and is hoping that the show will help people see her in a new light. One of the most calm and laid back people, she still might try and fight you if you say the wrong thing, and from all her time with guys, Marley sure fights like one. An ideal weekend for Marley would involve a LOTR or Star Wars marathon, binging on snacks and then getting take a long ride on her motorcycle.

A girl can do what she wants to do and that’s what I’m gonna do

Marley feels like she’s not good enough for anyone since she found out her mother started a new family and has two daughters. She’s always wondered what made them good enough, and why she wasn’t. Because of this Marley has a tendency to sabotage any chance she’d have to get in deep with someone.

It’s been a long time, since I’ve seen your smiling face

Back Story

Growing up in a busy city with just his mother and younger sister, Kirk is smarter than he acts or lets on. He’s always lived in New York and was very close to his family, there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his mother or little sister. He was truly the man of the house after his father, or sperm donor as Kirk liked to refer to him, ever showed up and tried to weasel his way back into the family then Kirk would do what he had to stop that. All the way through high school he was a grade A-student and always spent quality time with his mother and sister. Then tragedy struck and his mother died during a car accident while driving his sister to one of her dance recitals. Kirk’s sister was still alive, but has been in a comatose state since the accident four years ago. He dropped out of his masters program, completely abandoning his future as a clinical psychologist and has been working three jobs just to pay the medical bills to keep his sister on life-support. Doctors also keep coming up with experimental treatments that could potentially wake his sister from her coma, so of course Kirk does everything he can to pay for those as well. He had to sell his childhood home and move to a crappy one-bedroom apartment in New Jersey just to stay afloat.

Kirk is no stranger to sacrifice so when he found out about the show, and the cash reward at the end of (show should he survive and also find love) it was a no brainer. The money would be more than he’d make by working, so the biggest drawback was the fact that he wouldn’t be able to visit his sister while he was away. He’s too focused on supporting the family that he has left to really focus on love but deep down he wants to find that special someone who he can share the rest of his life with, but it won’t be just anyone- they’d have to be special enough to understand why he can’t pull the plug on his sister yet. After all, she’s all he has in this world. Since the accident, Kirk has become cold and withdrawn, almost harsh though he doesn’t mean to be. Kirk is a very hopeful individual who used to see the light in everyone and refused to give up on someone who was treating him poorly, that side of him is still there, only masked by the pain of feeling alone in the world.

His coworkers would describe him as someone who has good and bad days. On a good day Kirk is all about listening to people and trying to help them with whatever problems they have, wanting to help others be happy so as not to focus on the misfortune of his own life. He can be sweet and easy to get along with one moment but harsh and spiteful the next. On a bad day he tends to tune everyone out, and if someone tries to get in his face or pushes too far then he’ll take action and remind people that he doesn’t take bullshit from anyone. He’s not necessarily violent but he won’t put up with lies. He’s an intelligent guy and always takes his time thinking things through before making any decisions, definitely the one person that would be calm in the face of a crisis.

Kirk was supposed to drive his sister to her dance recital but convinced his mother to let him go to a party instead. He feels responsible for his mothers death and his sisters coma, constantly wondering how different his life would be had he not gone to the party and was instead the one who had been driving. Kirk never found out who the other driver was because lawyers had covered it up due to the fact that the other driver was a minor.

Okay so I’m super anxious so instead of doing the 18 graphics that I have left for tier one I’m just gonna go ahead and start with some bios of the ones I’ve already finished. I’ll start with 5 girls and 5 guys but if that goes quickly I may do up to 10 of each tonight - keep a look out ahhh

Back again

So hi, I’m sure no one lurks the main of a closed RP but if you HAVE then you’ll see I’ve re-done the main, and made a whole new character page with new FCs. 

To save myself super stress I’ve organized the characters into “tiers” so I can focus on things tier by tier. So first the tier 1 characters will be posted and hopefully by then I’ll have some apps and can open!

Camp Crystal lake has a notorious past after the drowning of Jason Voorhees and the murders he committed. Years after Jason has been claimed dead, a reality TV show has decided to use the secluded camp as the home for their contestants. The shows tag line? “Can you find love at Crystal Lake?”

Entering the fourth and final season of the show, multiple contestants have perished on previous seasons, and yet somehow MTV was given the green light for a final season with more contestants than ever. Do you want to be a part of it or will you miss out on the series finale of a lifetime?

Is this RP Reopening?

Yes! It will be! I’m sorry it’s taking so long but third year has proved to be more difficult than I thought it would and I work as a bartender so my weekends are gone as well. My last exam is tomorrow though and I have a solid 2 weeks off work coming up due to surgery so I’ll be getting a lot done during that time! 

I’ve been doing graphics here and there when I’ve had time but I didn’t want to post anything until I had a lot more stuff done so the ball would be able to keep rolling and I wouldn’t have to make you guys wait for me to finish bios and stuff.

Honestly though this RP has been on my mind a lot lately and I’m looking forward to opening as soon as I can and having a great summer with everyone who wants to be a part of this!

Day upon day of this wandering gets you down

Back Story

Hadley grew up very sheltered in a small town island town in British Colombia. She was raised by her mother Blanche De Glace, who was one of the better known artists in her town. Growing up, Hadley often felt trapped, as did most of her peers. There weren’t endless places to explore, and by the time she was twelve she’d already managed to get her nose in most of the places that were supposedly off limits or abandoned. She attended school like everyone else but never seemed to be able to focus, Hadley had a hard time paying attention as her mind was always a thousand different places at once. Her dreams were filled with possibilities of what the rest of the world could be like, places that weren’t overcast most of the time. She spent hours and hours drawing landscapes, and sunshine. God did she love the sun. Hadley often thought of herself as sort of the sun of her town with her long golden hair and bright smile. Others would agree that she was just as unstoppable a force. Since there wasn’t anything she could do about going to the mainland or anywhere else because of her overbearing mother. Hadley spent all her free time in the forests, admiring the trees and gardens. Since her dreams were to be anywhere but where she was, Hadley continued in school, focusing her efforts on gardening. She learned how to raise and care for plants which brought her a certain kind of pleasure.

It wasn’t until she was 20 that she’d had her first joint with one of the mayor’s kids. From that day on she couldn’t get enough pot, loving the relaxed feeling that washed over her every time she smoked. She struck a deal, they would bring her seeds, and Hadley would grow the plants since she worked with the local florist anyways and knew all the best places on the island to hide some plants. Hadley loved experimenting with all the different strains of the plant and coming up with names for it. Her little grow-op was really the only thing she had going for her, sure she could easily have been an artist like her mother but Hadley preferred to draw for herself, she didn’t want her work on display in the gallery. She was an energetic girl who could have all the friends she wanted but she preferred to remain close to a select few and keep everyone else at a bit of a distance. Her mothers’ art sold well enough, but nowhere enough to send Hadley to college. So instead Hadley kept interning with the florist, taking online classes in botany to help. Asides from being able to grow just about anything, Hadley also would make floral arrangements for local weddings or any other occasions.

Most of the time though Hadley was high or in the process of getting high, that way she forgot where she was and could just enjoy life like she used to. Almost every weekend she could be found in the towns only bar, dancing on tables, singing in the crowd, or taking shots at the bar. As relaxed and chill as she was during the week, Hadley had only taken up partying in her 20’s so she was still enjoying the thrill of it and with new people arriving every so often there were more and more new faces for her to great. Late one night when Hadley stumbled home from the bar and couldn’t sleep she was watching MTV, the season finale of Crystal Lake had just aired and they were doing a special with some of the couples, advertising for people to apply for the final season. What a lame show Hadley thought, but continued to watch nonetheless until something caught her attention. “Free airfare to those accepted! It’s basically like a 6 month all-inclusive vacation…” and that was enough for her. She wouldn’t need to feel bad asking her mother for money, if she applied and got accepted it was all her doing. Just like that Hadley was on her way to Crystal Lake for the final season.

Nobody gives you a chance or a dollar in this old town

Hadley didn’t really care about finding love at Crystal Lake, and didn’t really worry about Jason or the rumours – she just needed an escape. For her, this was about experience and nothing more. She of course lied about this on her application but then again, who didn’t lie on their application?

AHHHH I always try so hard not to miss this roleplay but I end up missing it anyways.

Maybe if I could think of a way to change the plot around a bit and make things fresh for myself then I could handle bringing it back...ahhh I don’t know. 

In the meantime you can find me at my other rp, I’ll probably be working on that for a while.
