so I think I'm in the wrong space and came at the wrong time to know the "incident(s)" but if I could add my own food for thought?

I think its definitely good to talk about these things if theres a neutral way to mention it so that people can make their own informed decisions about it but I feel like thats rarely the case and its hard to do so maybe sometimes you have to let nature take it's course even if it hurts and you want to protect them from it (been there, done that)

If its something you're up to and genuinely want to do, maybe you can warn them without warning them? the great thing about like existing is that you get to choose the type of force you want to be and maybe you can be the positive force in their life so that even if there turns out to be other negative people/forces in their life, they have someone to turn to for support and to be shown the way out earlier than you were allowed to

honestly I'm not sure there ever was *a right time*, but I get what you mean. that whole thing is just incredibly difficult do deal with, and it's hard to say in the end what's right and what's wrong.

that's very good advice. Just trying to be there and be a good friend, be kind. that's definitely something I'm trying to do. not sure I'm always succeeding, but I'm definitely trying.
