Finished painting in the details.
This was the very first wand I made (prior to learning how to do the electrical for the LED light). I sold it on Etsy three days after listing it. I’m thinking I should just do this in my spare time for some extra cash while I’m in college.
My 4th wand. Finally figured out how to make an accessible compartment for AAA batteries.
When your mom is a nerd:
OK so, here's a funny thing just in time for a certain premiere tonight... As I was painting this, I asked my daughter what color she wanted the handle. When she said black, she caught me off-guard. I normally use black for shading, so I decided to do silver accents on it to add depth. While putting on the finishing touches, it dawned on me that it was looking more and more like a certain "walking carpet". When I suggested a nickname for her wand, she gave me a look and responded with something akin to, "laugh it up, fuzz ball." So I compromised, and told her if she didn't want to call it the Wookie Wand, she could just call it her W2.
So I am making magic wands now out of a straw, paper, hot glue and acrylic paint... This one was made on request for a Christmas present.
A little logo I did for our team to get them hyped in preparation. Now finally off to get some shut eye. GISHWHESssszzzz...

Painting the black outline of the tree... Brown tones and highlights will be next.
A family tree I am sketching and soon-to-be painting for my friends. Also going to be taking the family portraits for it. We're planning on having them printed on metal plates... I still need to sketch in some leaves on the tree.
Colorized...
Started this sketch yesterday and finished up the shading and highlighting today. This is the final penciled version. I may ink it later on.
This was the first poseable art doll I’d made back in 2008. Started off with some polymer clay, paint, fabric, leather, nails, glue, a bit of chain and a button. I am getting the urge to make another one.
I like dragons. And acting. And cats. And I haven’t blogged in forever… so please pardon the dust while I sift through my mental cobwebs.
