no okay for real ok so my dude grew up with his grandparents since his mom ditched and his dad was all depressed and starting neglecting him so he was deemed unfit after eli’s first grade teacher noticed his drastic weight loss and contacted child services

he’s pretty pissed @ his parents because he’s like wtf why have a kid if you don’t even want it like there’s no receipt for me you assholes so when he became about thirteen, he sort of just stopped listening to his grandparents and doing whatever the hell he wanted

once he started high school he used to get high and drunk with the older kids he met in detention who thought that he was cool, and starting emulating the way they were, not giving a fuck about what they did, not filtering their language, just living life on their terms, and the liberation of it all was so addicting to eli, he loved it

on his fifteenth and a half birthday, he lost his virginity to this guy, craig boswell, who was seventeen. it sort of happened and it was over and he thought that it sucked and wasn’t like any of the pornos he’s ever seen so he was hella disappointed but he still liked boys so he downloaded a hookup app on his phone, lied about his age, and made a profile

one week after his sixteenth birthday, after he’d already become a pro @ hooking up with guys on the app, he got a message from a male who was about twice his age, calling himself “generous,” and by that, he meant $$$. he wasn’t eli’s type, but he thought that he was already having sex, why not have sex for $350??? so he did it, and ever since, he’s been hooking up with older guys for money, continously lying about his age of course, but doing it nonetheless

his grandmother caught him once, going through his phone and finding some of the messages. she told him that she would send him away if he didn’t stop, and he thought she was bluffing, but she wasn’t. and now he’s here, wondering how in the world he’s gonna start making money again, but knowing that if there’s a will there’s a way.

he’s real guarded, especially since his parents ditched, so he doesn’t usually let people in. he acts like he doesn’t give two shits about anything or anyone, is usually painfully blunt with people, and is also super obsessive and dedicated to goals he sets his mind to. when he wants something, he gets it, no question asked. but deep down, he’s hella emotional and super protective over those he cares about ((even if he doesn’t really show it)))
