The moment I noticed that my iPhone screen somehow had fixed itself after it was glitched on red mode for nearly a week, I let out a big sigh of relief as I yelled fron my bedroom with excitement to everyone in the house, “IM BACK!! Haha! Back to my Cubans be like!,” I waS referencing to my #comedyskits that I was known for back in my #vine days. Once I settled in Florida, due to the notion that Vine has been cancelled for months... I continued doing comedy & posting it on to my #instagram account. The views were beginning to grow, hence why I was so glad that my phone was back to normal. As a social butterfly, you feel utterly naked once disconnected from the internet... My two youngest boys ran into my bedroom and began improvising a mocked fight, as a cue for me to start filming them. The day was off to a good start. I wa back on iG, the father of my two youngest had just gotten home from work, as well as my seventeen year old.
The day soon fell into night. We had just got done eating a great dinner I had whipped up. Ironically, on this particular night, an incredible sense of peace and joy filled the air as we all was agreeing that our big move from our home state of New Jersey to Hialeah Florida was that of a great move. We had accomplished so much within the 10 months of our relocation. It seemed as if the law of attraction was working wonderfully in our favor... as all was being perfectñt aligned for us... so perfect that i recall myself saying to everyone that it felt too good to be true! .....
It was at that moment when I got the worst phone call of my life. “Mom! Ur phones ringing it’s grandpa!”, yelled my eldest son to me aS I quickly dried up my hands in the kitchen sink. “Don’t pick it up I’ll answer it,” I said quickly as I went to my room to get my phone. I remember feeling anxious and scared at the same time. ‘Omg... What happened to Todi?!’ Is the thought that was running through my racing mind. Todi is the nickname I had given to my first born and only daughter, Calita. She had stayed back in Jersey along with my granddaughter. She decided to stay back due to the fact that she didn’t want any custody isSues to arise with the father of her child. Once I answered the phone, it was the beggining of the end of my life..... “You better sit down cause this is not good!,” Donald said in a manner that made my heart stop in that pivotal moment. Something bad had happened... my intuition was on point....... (to be continued)
