A Cube and a Circle

I AM REWRITING THIS STORY

As time has gone on, I have had this story in the back of my mind for forever.

And I have made a decision:

This story is going to be rewritten.

I’m not happy with how I wrote the story. I’m not happy with a lot of characterization. I’m not happy with how fast everything went. And, most of all, I’m not happy with the whole Troy ending up alive thing.

So, I am rewriting. 

A bunch of the characters are gonna be different, Skye and Cap will play a slightly bigger role, Lycan will be more true to my experience of being a neurodivergent teenager (and so will the heroes), people not liking beats much will be more realistic, there will be even more world building, and it’s gonna be amazing!

Currently, the prologue is out, and the first chapter is coming on Sunday. This is the story. I hope y’all enjoy it as much as (more than, hopefully) my first attempt.

Blixer: Uh. I still don't know how you know that name. Also, we've just barely met. So I don't know?? We're friendly I guess? Seriously- why do you know that name?

Blixer: H. How do you know about that? The incident is classifiied information- who are you?

Blixer: "Huh, that's my stage name- another world, huh? Neat!"

Cube: "What's your world like?"

fresh uhh yeah i'm my girlfriends cat

Blixer: "Nice!"

Cube: "So uh. I'm still confused- okay okay, what year is it where you're at?"

Hi dad and dad I'm clever cube your daughter I'm not really like dad (cube) I'm like dad (blixer)

Cube: "Oh there's two of them, huh. Hello!"

Blixer: "Wait but this one actually.. looks SO MUCH like me. Look! We're both animalistic- wait wait. Yer animalistic, right? Those are ears? Or am I barkin' up th' wrong tree?"

Hi dad 's (cube and blixer)

Cube: "..? Hi?"

Blixer: He seems.. very confused. "We've uh, just met each other, so. Yer probably mistaken, bud. Sorry."

Quick bit of info for the people here who care about the books:

I used to store my work in Google Docs, but now there’s a limit to how much stuff you can store there and I don’t feel safe keeping my stuff in there anymore.

If any of you have alternatives (auto save, offline and online usage, cloud storage, and ease of use are all I want in the app) that I can use, please let me know, via ask or otherwise.

On a lighter note, I am rewriting the cube and circle series! Some of the characters will undergo changes, and the old series will still be readable but discontinued. This will still be connected to the old series, so don’t worry, the characters you know and live will live on.

Of course, it will be similar to what we had before, but I think it will be even better- less rushed, less out of character moments, better description, and overall better quality, as well as a storyline that makes sense and characters that are overall more rounded than before.

Except Blixer, he can’t really get more round. 😉 (/j)

Cyan: “Pretty good! Penta made genderfluid flags for a bunch of kiddos, you should’ve seen their faces when she was giving them out, it was so cute!”

Cube: “Yeah. I made cookies!”

Blixer: “And the best brownies in the world.”

At least an extra water bottle, she can walk around on land and such. *offers a picture of Lotus at a playground* I'll go ahead and get her real quick. A perk of being an Asker, I'll be back in no time flat. ^^ *darts off into a Multiverse portal*

Lycan: “Neat!”

Pie: “I’ll get some water.”

She's probably a bit young to do anything too fan-girly. She's only about 10. But she may be curious. Oh and if you have a pond or a pool, she won't hesitate to take a swim. Lotus is a shape of an aquatic variety.

Lycan: “Oh- does she need water? Because we can fill up a kid pool or something?”

Cyan: “We’ve got a really big kid pool if we need it.”

I can introduce you guys to a young lil flower shape I adopted a while back. Her name's Lotus. (BTW Kit, pics of her are on my page if you're curious about her)

Cyan: “Alright, it’s been a while since we’ve met someone new.”

Pie: I hope she’s normal and not, you know. Another fangirl.

Lycan: Oh boy, if y’all want I can tell you a story about that one girl who wanted to date me because I apparently have the “bad boy style”. My jeans are ripped because they’re the only comfy pants I own, my jacket is leather because my sensory stuff likes leather, and just because I’m a beat doesn’t mean I’m a bad boy! >:(
