Many shops will be, or already are closed for weeks due to COVID-19. It’s a great time to reach out to your favorite artist and ask if they have paintings for sale. Maybe your artist is in a band and you can snag an EP or full length. You might even be able to commission a painting, sign, or wood cut that they normally wouldn’t have time for.
Everyone is gonna be hurting these next few months but if youre in a position to support an artist, now is a better time than ever.
The government is gonna bail out the big industries, the arts will largely be left to fend for themselves. Be smart about where you spend your money this spring.
