my respects to any artist, historian or programmer who know’s their work’s monetary value, but still I think there is something so beautiful and communal on someone who just does everything for everyone, no paywall, no tips, no subscription no nothing, just for the love of the game, to facilitate accessibility or as a political statement that essential art, tools or knowledge shouldn’t be put behind a paywall for the marginalized, the poor or the less privileged.

Sometimes I wonder what the world would be if the internet archive was behind a paywall, like “yeah you can get access to literally the entire internet past and present, for only $5 monthly :)” imagine also how shit you may feel when you can’t even pay that, you can’t even pay $5, bc you need to, y know, eat and stuff, and $5 is a whole buffet in most countries.
