Hey! it's is bornoffireandwisdom here, and I decided to make this blog about the original story I'm working on called "The Hidden Folk." It's about a very curious young Faerie who wants too see what lies beyond the Haven, and the adventures he has. Feel free to ask Cuinn any questions about his home, the Faerie society, and culture! Writer's Block

Hey guys. I’m sorry that it’s been taking me so long to write things.. but I have some good news.

My introduction story to my original story The Hidden Folk is getting a new chapter and I’m going to post it today. Sorry it took me so long to write chapter three.. I hate writer’s block..

Also the story I’m writing with Wally and Annette from my BATIM Saudade AU is almost finished too, it’ll probably be done by tomorrow.. or at least I’ll try to get it done by tomorrow.

Hey guys. I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much this week. Things have been pretty crazy.. Yesterday I had to do my Communications Final, and tomorrow my sisters and I are going to see a councillor for what happened on Saturday. Things have just been crazy..

🍄☘New Chapter in Progress!☘🍄

Hey guys. The next chapter of my introduction to my original story “The Hidden Folk” is in progress now.

I’m off to a pretty good start as well! This chapter will introduce Cuinn’s friend, his name is Adie which is Gaelic for “little fire”.

What does cuinn think of the pixies?

Cuinn: "Hmm.. I don't really know much about the Pixies. I just know that the elders want us to stay away from them, They say we can't play with Pixies.. but they can't all be bad right?"

Cuinn is only twelve years old and he's kind of an optimist. Faeries have an education system and the young ones are taught by the elders who are seen as very wise and knowledgeable. Cuinn only knows as much as he's told about the Pixies, and he doesn't understand why there's tension between the Faerie kingdom and Pixie Kingdom.

Sorry if this answer isn't very good! I can try to think of a better explanation if needed. Also thanks for the question! 😄

Do the faeries have a more civilized and peaceful society than ours? And how do they do with crimes if they have any?

Cuinn: "I'm not sure how Human society works, but ours is usually very peaceful! Everyone gets along well! (Except for the the elders, they always get mad and scold us for playing too much and getting too close to the humans!) We have a monarchy, and it's rare to see Faeries commiting crimes.. though there was one person recently. I didn't know him, but he was accused of plotting treason."

Faeries tend to have very close communities. Always willing to lend a hand if their friends need help, and everyone has a specific job to do that was pre-determined before they were born. Cuinn's job is to find useful things that Humans might have left behind and see what it can be used for.

As for the crimes the people in the Faerie kingdom are naturally kind of heart, and good natured. Though some have given in to the temptation of riches and power.

At some point in the story a war will break out, and the ones who go two the evil side are seen as commiting treason. Luckily only a small few were manipulated or tempted by greed. The war is between Faeries and Pixies, which are more malevolent in nature. Despite the war happening later in the story, there is still a lot of tension between them.

Sorry if this answer is confusing! I can try to think of a better way to explain it if needed.

This was super cute! I liked hearing about cuinns day and his discovery but I’d also like to know a bit more of the faerie. What does he look like? What does he sound like? That sorta stuff. I’d love to know more about the haven he lives in and the other fae people there.

I think you left it on a good cliff hanger too! I think it’d be interesting if he managed to flee home and discuss what happened with his fae friend!

I liked your choice as well, I’ll see if I can try to write another story later where he tells his friend what had happened!

“Don’t think twice.”

Here’s the coloured version of the picture I made of Cuinn yesterday. I was listening to the Kingdom Hearts song “Don’t Think Twice” while I was colouring this.

In the story I’m planning on making called “The Hidden Folk” Cuinn is about twelve years old, at some point in the story a war will break out. He is then forced to join a militia in case his city is attacked. (Though I might not make the war happen in the story for awhile. I want the story to be light-hearted for a bit, then it’ll change throughout the story.)

The outfit he is wearing is a Faerie soldier uniform. In case you guys are wondering, I don’t know how to draw wings that’s why they aren’t there.

Sorry for the blurriness and poor quality. I tried really hard to make it look nice, and I’m sorry if you guys aren’t interested in the story.. I’m worried that the more I try to talk about the story I want to make, the less people will want to see it..

This is the main character for a story I’m working on. His name is Cuinn, which is the Gaelic word for wise.

Cuinn is a young faerie boy who lives in an oak tree. Along with many other faeries. Cuinn is extremely curious about what lies outside the faerie city/haven.
