this is the kind of question my sister would yell at me for mulling over bc she'd say "Jessica it's just a SHOW" (she gets really mad at me when I start in on Cars) but it's really interesting to think about, so:

Vander, Silco, and Benzo all have varying English accents, but Felicia's accent, by contrast, sounds very American English to my American ear. which makes me wonder how that happened in-universe? does Zaun have dialects (likely) by area, or were there no communal schools when they were young leading the kids to speak the way adults spoke at home? is it generational? did that trio live somewhere else originally? or is Felicia from somewhere else? then what about Sevika? why do none of the present kids speak like their parent generation?

I'm not looking to answer this, exactly. it's just the sort of detail that can lend itself to some interesting world building.

tangentially related, I headcanon that Silco's beautiful manners are put on as a fuck you to Piltover, since he deeply resents being perceived as lesser.
