CURIOSITI

Curiositi is the musical vehicle of Matilda Berggren and Emil Johansson. Veterans of the swedish electro/indie-scene the couple met in 2007 while touring Italy with their respective bands but took up writing and producing together in 2016 when they both had put all former projects to rest. Since Curiositi's first release the act has slowly built a reputation for their songwriting and productions, making R&B-influenced pop music echoing of soft rock, quiet storm and new jack swing.

So we've released exactly 13 songs this year. One special song has gotten a bit more attention than the rest, going away on a journey of it's own, getting some airtime on BBC6, getting listed as one of the best tracks of 2019 by The Guardian and featuring on in-store playlists at one of the world's biggest retailer of garments. Big stuff for us. Unexpected stuff. Someone is probably getting fired at BBC, The Guardian AND H&M. Thank you for showing us love and attention! Ready was special for us already in the moment of creation. We felt something treasurable. Something free of expectations and ideas. Only flow and the touch of divinities. We learned things in that moment that has inspired everything we've done since. Now here's a remix of Ready that makes our original sound like a fucking demo. Made by one of our top artists of the decade (true, according to Spotify wrapped). Sasac is the master of electric boogie, funk and cosmic disco. His interpretation of Ready brings a dansband bassline, some very very neat and tidy funk guitar and a Vangelis worthy CS80 pad to the table. And guiro of course. We. Could. Not. Be. Happier! VALENTINO In memory of our friend Erik. When we started jamming on this song and posted a clip here on Instagram he reached out within seconds, sharing his ever present enthusiasm and asking for a sample of the lead synth to use in his project. It's forever connected to him. It's Erik's song. Erik was an amazing energy to be around. Love and curiosity in abundance.
