Only when you understand the pieces does this chess set truly become interesting.

Designed in 1923 at the Bauhaus in Weimar by Josef Hartwig, each piece expresses its movement through its form. The knight reflects its L-shaped move, the bishop follows a diagonal logic, and the rook remains clear and direct. Even the king and queen are reduced to their function.

What emerges is not a decorative chess set, but a system in which every form has meaning.
