A Reluctant Update

Yes, it’s that classic webcomic update you never wanted! I’m immensely proud of what I’ve managed with this comic — I’ve been working on it consistently since spring of 2020 (though those terrible early pages will never see the light of day!) when I thought it would be a fun experiment to take the current novel I was working on and try it out as a comic at the same time.

Unfortunately my workload has increased this last year, and I now can’t spare the 6-to-12ish hours I was putting into drawing and scripting this every week. To that end, I won’t be continuing weekly updates for now. I’m not going to take the comic down for now, as I’d very much like to add to it again in the future — I just can’t say when that will be, and wouldn’t want to keep you in limbo waiting for an update.

To those who have read and interacted with every update (Queen.of.spades on tapas and fanny’s-art here on tumblr in particular, and milliebeeweasel and fotheringhay, of course): thank you from the bottom of my dumbass heart.

Because I’m still obsessed with them, Jannek and Curi will no doubt be making the odd appearance on my general art’n’writing blog, if you care to follow @elemarr. It’d be neat to see ya.
