so I was recently challenged to remix my closet. I've been hanging on to this dress *FOREVER*. Well honestly, it *IS* the dress I wore to Prom my Junior year of High School. It still fits and it couldn't be more timely with this 90's revival the fashion world is currently experiencing. I thought it paired well with the denim vest and black ankle boots. A more chic grunge look if you will. I also dug out a pretty fierce cross pendant that belonged to my Far Mor (fathers mother for all you non-Norwegians), and a very sweet piece from Dannijo that I actually won as a prize. The end result is not too shabby if I say so myself. I am planning on wearing this look to Femme Cartel V: Naked Ladies show in November.

so it's come to my profound realization, that as one gets older and through endless trial and error, you do figure out what works and what doesn't. whether it's trivial, such as finally finding *THE* lip balm or hand lotion (which could arguably be not so trivial), or whatever epic real life lesson you have to get through, it's pretty cool that we have an arsenal of knowledge to draw from. because everyone knows something about something.

found myself recently excited about a few things and feel the need to share...

1. cherries are here. get them while you can

2. after a 5 year hiatus, I rediscovered weeds and am hooked all over again. just learned that season 7 is available on netflix and it shot to the top of my queue.

3. creative forces are aligning and am feeling hopeful about the outcome.

4. this sweater is rocking my world, as is the awesome shop where I got it. 

slouchy yet still chic. just how sweaters should be...
