Winners Circle and Fun Facts
Last but not least...The Winner's Circle!
First Place with Gold: @lepoltergeist
Second Place with Silver: @vaffyu
Third Place Tied on the Podium with Bronze: @curse-04 and @gin110881
And now! what @curse-04 has patiently been waiting for and is probably close to overdosing on caffeine pills to find out: Why He Broke My Brain
So you see, what we have here in our guessing if you guess one individual author per story without repeating is a very low probability of randomly guessing the correct author. There are 21 stories with 20 authors so essentially a 0.00000000000000000000000005% probabilistic chance of randomly matching an author to a story. Now, our good friend @curse-04 decided to beat those odds by guessing the same author for 8 different fics believing @justalittleconfusing's hype that @vaffyu wrote every story (fun fact: she did not).
So that should have raised @curse-04's chance of guessing @vaffyu as the author of her story significantly. Especially since she gave TWO hints to him. And in fact it did! His chance of guessing her correctly rose to 0.002%. Which given the previous odds...were much better.
Yet somehow our hero beat those odds and GUESSED @VAFFYU wrong! AND came in 3rd for best guessing. How???? To this day I have absolutely no idea. I really tried to make sense of this all day. I was unable to. I literally sat there for an hour in the cafe and did the probability calculations. I have no coherent words. Anyway. Great job @curse-04 for capturing Silver while still having SO MANY WRONG!!! You win the Worst/Best Guesser Award. Somehow. I have no idea.
Hahahaha, this was the most fun I've had in ages!! I loved every minute of it.
And the entertainment credit goes fully to @curse-04 for making it doubly fun!!
I've been known to impress! But really you've made it just as fun for me đ
Winners Circle and Fun Facts
Last but not least...The Winner's Circle!
We have a three-way tie for the most correct guesses: @vaffyu, @gin110881 and @lepoltergeist share the first place podium for the gold!
In second place with silver is @curse-04
In third place with bronze is @seriouslysam8
Well done to our champion guessers!

Last Lines Tag Game
I was tagged by @gin110881 to share the last Line I wrote. I would share more but it would give a lot away, so all I have is:
"I can't feel my Magic."
-I nominate everyone who wishes to take part in this, but hasn't been tagged yet.

Chapter Thirty-Three: Memories
HERE WE GO. HERE THE FUCK WE GO.
This is it. Memories come back fully this chapter. We've only been waiting since Backstabber but you know.
Don't forget to drop a review. They really do motivate me to keep writing. The next couple of chapters are... heavy. I mean, it's Halloween next chapter so that should give you a clue on just how heavy it will be.

new fic coming tomorrow :)
wedding night
an AU where James is an Auror, and Lily is asked by Moody to join them, and they hate each other but have to work together, while Voldemort terrorizes everyone as usual. They studied together, but she and James never dated or even talked, she was in Slytherin and he was in Gryffindor. Slughorn always protected her, and even though they were in the same house, she and Snape fought and never spoke again, but James always thought that she helped and sympathized with Snape's thoughts about Remus and the whole thing that happened in that ''prank'' from Sirius, and for that, he always hated her.
and now, she is his colleague and they work as a duo
PSA: bot comments are taking over ao3
The above examples have been provided with the authors' permission to demonstrate what these look like.
Basic rundown:
They are all 3 sentences long
Perfect grammar, capitalization, and punctuation
Like absolutely flawless English teacher-style writing with only a single exclamation mark, ever
No mentions whatsoever of character names, settings, situations, or anything that could be tied to the story
The usernames may be identical to people who exist on ao3, but the name is not clickable, and no profile is associated with it EXCEPT when you directly search for that name. What this means: the comments come from an unregistered (not logged in) reader, bots scrape the site for real usernames, attach that to the comment, and post
Please spread the word about this so authors can filter comments and report them accordingly
There has been some speculation about why this is happening at all, and the best guess is that this is a feature that AI-training story-scraping tools are implementing to try and make their browsing traffic look legitimate
what fresh hell is this?
No, my works arenât abandoned.
I appreciate the messages and comments, but please refrain from saying condescending ass shit.
I have serious love and respect for all of you whoâve read any of my work, yâall have gotten me through some tough shit.
Iâm working two jobs that take up most of my time. Outside of that I have very limited free time and usually it isnât at peak hours of creativity. Among other things, I also I have friends in town, Iâm going to spend time with them.
Your anonymous messages are not helping most of the time. Not all of you, obviously. @muib92 you a real one. Appreciate you reaching out đ«¶. As are others who know who they are. But Iâm sick of deleting guest reviews from people asking about my âabandonedâ works. Just give me a minute man Iâve been non stop writing for almost a year.
Anyway, thanks fam.

Thanks for the tag @turanga4!
Here's a semi-edited sneak peak of Chapter 19 of my WiP: The In Betweens (6th Year)
Dangerous Daydreams đ
âI think you should know that weâre on an even playing field now.â Harry gave her a look, asking: what do you mean? âItâs easy to be the fastest on the team with a five hundred galleon broom.â  Harry inspected Georgeâs old Cleansweep, turning the handle over in his hand. âOh yeah? Shall we test it out then?â Ginny snorted. âWhat, race?â âScared, Weasley?â He asked, leaning infinitesimally closer. There was an irresistible challenge in his eyes, the hint of a daring smile on his lips, and Ginnyâs heart began beating faster in anticipation. âJust of seeing your face when you hand over the Captainâs badge.â So the route was set. Whoever was first to make it over the small hill, around the far cluster of trees, and pass between the make shift hoops won. Absolutely no cheating would be tolerated.Â
Let's see those snippets! @ginnyw-potter @curse-04 @fizzyginfizz @welsh-green @greenhousethree @tomjamesavery @deadwoodpecker
Hey question
Do you leave comments? why? why not?
I always leave comments
I only leave comments when the authors note reminds me
I only leave comments when I know the author will respond
I only leave comments when I know the author WONT respond
I only leave comments when I've seen the author reply to other comments
I only leave comments when I'm genuinely moved by the fic itself
I only comment when I see others have commented, regardless of author reply
I don't leave comments I forget
I don't leave comments they make me anxious
I don't leave comments I don't care to
Yada yada please reblog for bigger sample size I have theories
Also if you do or do not see your answer feel free to pick what's closest and leave reasonings in the tags :3
@ fic authors what do you personally consider a successful fic? Whatâs the bar?
actually writing the fic down
I will never not reblog this.
Sex education with Severus Snape
Look, I blame Gin and heat exhaustion for this one. This is not my best writing but inspired by a discussion in the three broomsticks discord.
