And now! what @curse-04 has patiently been waiting for and is probably close to overdosing on caffeine pills to find out: Why He Broke My Brain

So you see, what we have here in our guessing if you guess one individual author per story without repeating is a very low probability of randomly guessing the correct author. There are 21 stories with 20 authors so essentially a 0.00000000000000000000000005% probabilistic chance of randomly matching an author to a story. Now, our good friend @curse-04 decided to beat those odds by guessing the same author for 8 different fics believing @justalittleconfusing's hype that @vaffyu wrote every story (fun fact: she did not).

So that should have raised @curse-04's chance of guessing @vaffyu as the author of her story significantly. Especially since she gave TWO hints to him. And in fact it did! His chance of guessing her correctly rose to 0.002%. Which given the previous odds...were much better.

Yet somehow our hero beat those odds and GUESSED @VAFFYU wrong! AND came in 3rd for best guessing. How???? To this day I have absolutely no idea. I really tried to make sense of this all day. I was unable to. I literally sat there for an hour in the cafe and did the probability calculations. I have no coherent words. Anyway. Great job @curse-04 for capturing Silver while still having SO MANY WRONG!!! You win the Worst/Best Guesser Award. Somehow. I have no idea.

an AU where James is an Auror, and Lily is asked by Moody to join them, and they hate each other but have to work together, while Voldemort terrorizes everyone as usual. They studied together, but she and James never dated or even talked, she was in Slytherin and he was in Gryffindor. Slughorn always protected her, and even though they were in the same house, she and Snape fought and never spoke again, but James always thought that she helped and sympathized with Snape's thoughts about Remus and the whole thing that happened in that ''prank'' from Sirius, and for that, he always hated her.

Please spread the word about this so authors can filter comments and report them accordingly

There has been some speculation about why this is happening at all, and the best guess is that this is a feature that AI-training story-scraping tools are implementing to try and make their browsing traffic look legitimate

I have serious love and respect for all of you who’ve read any of my work, y’all have gotten me through some tough shit.

I’m working two jobs that take up most of my time. Outside of that I have very limited free time and usually it isn’t at peak hours of creativity. Among other things, I also I have friends in town, I’m going to spend time with them.

Your anonymous messages are not helping most of the time. Not all of you, obviously. @muib92 you a real one. Appreciate you reaching out 🫶. As are others who know who they are. But I’m sick of deleting guest reviews from people asking about my “abandoned” works. Just give me a minute man I’ve been non stop writing for almost a year.

“I think you should know that we’re on an even playing field now.” Harry gave her a look, asking: what do you mean? “It’s easy to be the fastest on the team with a five hundred galleon broom.”   Harry inspected George’s old Cleansweep, turning the handle over in his hand. “Oh yeah? Shall we test it out then?”  Ginny snorted. “What, race?”  “Scared, Weasley?” He asked, leaning infinitesimally closer.  There was an irresistible challenge in his eyes, the hint of a daring smile on his lips, and Ginny’s heart began beating faster in anticipation. “Just of seeing your face when you hand over the Captain’s badge.” So the route was set. Whoever was first to make it over the small hill, around the far cluster of trees, and pass between the make shift hoops won. Absolutely no cheating would be tolerated.

Sex education with Severus Snape

Look, I blame Gin and heat exhaustion for this one. This is not my best writing but inspired by a discussion in the three broomsticks discord.

Despite being at capacity, the classroom was quiet.

The awkward silence was only occasionally broken by the scuffing of a shoe against the floorboards or the rustle of robes as someone covered their face. 

Harry would have given anything, even his firebolt, not to endure this. And like many of the other boys, he stared determinedly at the range of leaflets in his lap in a futile attempt to ignore the sound of Snape’s voice.

“This,” Snape said, with a slap of the cane against the anatomical diagram that dominated the chalkboard, 

“Is called the clitoris.” 

A shudder of snorts rippled around the classroom, yet Snape’s face remained impassive.

“Stebbins,” Snape said sharply, and a boy to Harry’s left quickly sat up. 

“What is the purpose of this…piece of anatomy?”

Several older boys laughed at the question.

“Errrrr. …I….” Stammered Stebbins, his fingers twisting in his lap as his face turned an ugly shade of puce.

“You don’t know?” Snape asked, a sneer on his lips.

“Like he even knows,” Ron muttered in Harry’s ear, causing his body to convulse with laughter and sending his copy of “The boy who cast Engorgio; human transfiguration gone wrong," fluttering to the ground.

Snape glared at them, his black robes contrasting the red of the labia majora that framed him.

“Does anyone else know the answer?’

Nobody replied, and silence blanked the classroom once more.

“Well,” Snape said, "When the headmaster asked me to give this class, I said that very few of you should ever reproduce, and now I can rest assured that no woman will ever go near any of you. So, you may leave early.”

The stampede to the door was unlike anything Harry had ever seen before.
