I love Undertale, Deltarune, Amazing Digital Circus, and many recent stories of the sorts but like... Folks REALLY want them to be deeper than they are and that's kinda funny to me
I am so jealous of Europeans who can speak multiple languages but for the dumbest scumbag reason. I love when Europeans are super elegant and poetic in their language for insulting and voicing their displeasure at something/someone but the moment they flip into English they lose all of it and go right into the bluntest, rudest words they know and on repeat. Nothing is better than a super educated and well spoken European suddenly flipping into English and being like hit the word fuck nonstop. I love that so much. I wish I had that but sadly I had the French language bullied out of me as a kid and I'm stuck with just English.
I really don't know how to feel about some family stuff going on but I know it's part of my current struggles with depression and anxiety. I think good will come out of this in the long run but in the current short term moment it's so difficult.

Thinking a bit more on the recent chapter. There are parts I did like but it wasn't a lot. It just didn't click with me the way the previous chapters did. It wasn't bad, I can tell that. Just parts of it rubbed me the wrong way or felt bothersome and I just wanted through the moment.
I wonder if my opinion will change once the game is done though.

Every now and then I'll hear someone else out of state talking about how yeah they also grew up near or live in a meth region but their methheads and labs were in garages and how often garages were blowing up.
...how nice was your neighborhoods that they were cooking meth in a house with a garage? If a house has a garage in Louisiana, that's a nice area and there ain't no way me or the meth chemists are affording it unless it's a lawyer's son who refuses to go to college and still lives with his parents. Ours are cooking in abandoned trailers they hitched and drove back into their yard or in the case of the one literally next to the boat dock I own it's inside 7 abandoned cars they are wielded together and into the junk fence that hides it from full view. I wish our crackheads could afford houses with a garage to do that shit in because that means when the explosion happens less shrapnel going everywhere and fucking up the neighbor yards. No one's windows are shattering because of metal bits going everywhere. I can't tell you how many times I've had to have a blown up car door thrown off my dock back across the fence so the dude could just get the blow torch and put it back on his meth fort.

Sometimes we all need a wide range of OCs. There's nothing wrong with having McCuddles the wish fufillment OC and off to the side is the OC Jeremiah the fiend who likes to put DMT in crackpipes and leave it where methheads can find it.
So this morning I found out that the RPG Maker forums will be shutting down this year, and it’s really just another depressing thing to see.
If you read the link the company does of course say they’re replacing the existing forums with new ones, and I’m sure no one would say the old ones didn’t perhaps need a lil bit of a glow up, some tech debt fixing… but there’s a few key notes in there:
They are NOT carrying over any history, data messages etc. from the old forums
They are NOT archiving, retaining or in any way saving the existing forums in any way
They have NOT provided any reasoning past ‘as part of continued efforts to support developers’
As an offhand, moderate read, this sounds to me like a desire for some change in the forums but deciding nuking everything is less expensive than rebuilding and carrying over info.
If I’m cynical, and likely realistic? Probably to increase sales of their latest GameMaker software by making it inherently more difficult for someone getting the older software for cheap pushing it to its limits. The amount of institutional knowledge on those forums is absurd.
And even if it is a benign reason, it’s still terrible because what do you mean you’re doing this with no recourse or potential for change? You sell software that runs on community goodwill? In an era where people are pulling away to open source software?? Crazy.
There are yeeeaaars of answers, plugins, suggestion, community built up on those forums - I’ve used the em to learn and grow my own skillet!!! And soon it won’t exist.
At the very least, they gave a ‘heads up’ - the deletion occurs mid December, so archiving by the community is possible from now. It’s just absurd that it needs to happen in the first place.
It’s just reflective of how the industry is right now - and why it’s so important for communities to grow and build up knowledge together, knowledge that is NOT reliant on a company that can pull the plug at any time in the very name of the very customers, users and supporters they are screwing over.
The good news is that other people are already starting external archival. Here's a couple posted on the r/RPGMaker subreddit:

Holiday and Hook. Vitriolic besties. They give each other anxiety. Comes as a pair do not separate. They come as a BOGO. They're out to set up their little empires out west before anyone else gets the idea.
Holiday, a clove cigarette smoking dandy with a interest in genetic engineering in the name of aesthetics and just because he'd really rather not go into a super competitive field. He's convinced if he could get some privacy and better supplies he could figure out how to make sligs more appealing so people don't have to tolerate such ugly bodyguards. So far only one has survived his efforts and he calls it his "Teacup sliggy" which is treated like a purse dog. Holiday adores Hook but he'd probably be calmer if he wasn't a frequent victim of her biting and headbutting.
Hook, owner of a chain of convenience stores looking to try setting up a monopoly out west. She's not ashamed to handle something herself even if it means breaking a few Glukkon social rules and appearances. This has given her a lot of mixed PR and made her a terror to her own sligs but you can't argue her results. Hook adores Holiday but she'd probably appreciate his company more if he'd stop bragging on that stunted growth Slig of his.

So after seeing the final episode of TADC in theaters and seeing some opinions on it here...
Some of you people really give the vibes you haven't been in toxic friendships before and really do not understand what that shit does to different types of people...
Saw the first showing of TADC today. I enjoyrd it and think the series ended well. I recommend seeing it in theaters for the experience to say you had the chance and took it.
So now working 3 jobs to fund my surgery outta pocket and hopefully fix a house before I move into it potentually late next year
...I'm tired lol
