hello everyone--- so i wanted to give an update here instead of just letting the main go quiet, but i’ve decided to close curse, at least for the time being. there were some interested responses in the poll about revamping, but both the chat and dash have been nearly silent and i don’t want to be dragging something out that people don’t actually want, so i think for now it’s best to just close it down. i’ve deleted my other update post because honestly i think i misread interest and i’m kind of embarrassed that i was trying to force something that wasn’t working. i was drafting a new plot drop to try to spark things again, but with the current energy i don’t really see a whole lot of point in spending the time writing it up, as i’m not sure how much it’d help.

thank you so much to everyone who has stuck with the group so far !  i also apologize to the people who still had muse for their characters or who were potentially interested in applying. maybe someday in the future i’ll bring curse back around, as there is still quite a bit i’ve planned for it, but for right now i think this is best.

gabrielle union would be great as arachne or jason, and i could see china anne mcclain as orion or daedalus !

i'm considering applying, but i had one or two questions before i commit to a skeleton. is there a way for us to know if a current mun is planning on switching to a different skeleton that's currently open? also, which skeletons will be retired with the new plot drop?

hello !  i’ve still yet to hear back from people about switching or adding muses, so i don’t know for sure as of yet--- but all the current open roles are listed on the skeletons page. also, no skeletons are going to be retired, simply the previous characters / their faceclaims that filled them before. all the skeletons will still be in play, just  ( hopefully )  with new characters in them !  if you have any other questions please let me know.

hello all !  the main should be all updated for our latest open skeleton, but we’ve now got four roles that i’d love to see filled--- arachne, heracles, narcissus, and orion !!  so if you’re interested in joining our group of cursed mortals, come check any of them out !

hi !! i am having trouble coming up with a curse for arachne. i'm not really sure what would count as a medium death curse since you've said medium curses make them more dangerous but not extremely so. so anything to help point me in the right direction?

hello !!  so i expanded a little bit more on the danger levels here, which is a good jumping off point, as well as listed some examples of a possible death curse here.

i’d say a medium death curse either mostly effects only the cursed, aka has to do with their own death, or it affects other people but in an indirect way. like, a medium death curse likely wouldn’t cause a lot of death around them, as that’d be getting closer to a high-level rank, but maybe could sense or influence death--- maybe it alters the path / method / timing of deaths that are already fated to happen, or can see how much longer other people have to live, etc. it also doesn’t have to be so literal !  all these classifications are very loose by design. maybe people feel grief more intensely around the cursed, or tend to think / act on darker thoughts, that sort of thing.

there are some preset  ( though vague, so more like pre-suggested )  connections on each skeleton, but other than that not really !  we do have a channel in the group discord for posting wanted connections as we think of them, though naturally thats all post-acceptances, and is more for a jumping off point for plotting--- i don’t want anyone to feel obligated to tailor their own character to suit another, the connections will come regardless !

hi !!  as said on the rules page, i won’t be listing fc suggestions for skeletons as there are too many i don’t know, but there is a fcs page that shows all the faces people have already asked about, and you are welcome to suggest different ones as well.

for narcissus specifically, i could see hunter schafer, keiynan lonsdale, quintessa swindell, or shay mitchell !  

if you’re interested, i also think rome flynn and jameela jamil would be great arachnes and yara shahidi could absolutely be heracles. the only fcs i’d rather not have here are amandla stenberg and florence pugh.
