I promise I’m still alive but life has gotten a little crazy lately. I’ve got an apartment of my own and I picked up a second job over the summer and I’ve been trying to be more social. I still love my angry boy but just haven’t had the time to give him much attention on here :/

Why does pregnany have to take nine months? The Sims has it way better with it just being like a week. “I’m also married, but I got pregnant before that so doesn’t help much with the whole sin thing.”
“Mhm, that’d be it.” He says, nodding as he reapplies the peas to his face. “In my opinion, as sins go, creatin’ a new life ain’t that bad relatively speaking. I think it’s fair to say that the both of us have done a lot worse.”

“Thank God, I was worried you were dragging me somewhere exciting …” She sighs, heading for the door after him, palming her keys to re-lock the door once they’re in the hallway. “Y’know – when I started this job, I thought it’d be more …. secretarial …” Not that she really cared, it wasn’t like she was neck deep in the supernatural going-on’s of the world in her day to day life ANYWAY.
“It is kind of, ain’t it? There’s paperwork and stuff sometimes, right?” He vaguely remembers doing paperwork at least once so there has to be a little filing. Then again, he has been hit on the head a lot so that might have been a hallucination. “Besides, you’re still around so that means you do okay with the work I have you doin’.”

“That’s pretty much my whole job description.” He replies, his eyes following the woman’s hands as she returned the figurine to its rightful place before meeting her gaze again.

He’s strongly considering nudging it off the table now. He rests his hand against the side but, in a remarkable show of restraint, seems to be vaguely considering his actions.

“We don’t have beer.” At least, not right now. Cathryn doesn’t drink it, even if she wasn’t pregnant. It’s gross piss water. She should be more alarmed that Marcus is just in her house, but it’s not anything that’s new. “You’re a sight for sore eyes.”
"Damn, guess it’s that kinda night.” His voice was low and rough, practically a growl, but it seemed more resigned than angry. As he closed the door to the fridge and turned towards his former protege, Marcus let out a short chuckle as he lifted the frozen peas away from his face to reveal a large and nasty bruise around his eye that looked like it was probably going to turn into quite the shiner in not too long. “You too. Been a while. I see that...things have happened.”

A warm quiet evening. There’s nothing like resting on the balcony, enjoying the view. The whole world is still, almost lazy and half-asleep. Normal people would consider it an ultimate bliss, but chills are crawling all over Helena’s back and she’s very tense, unable to fully relax or believe that nothing will jump off the nearest tree and attack her. That is why she is on her second bottle, desperately trying to drown her demons in the whiskey.
Honestly, Marcus was kind of shocked that no one has called the cops at this point. He’d been climbing up the side of this building for a little while now, pulling himself up from balcony to balcony. There was probably an easier or smarter way to get around the safeguards that had been put in place, but this is what he thought of first and he was very much a creature of impulse. Surprisingly, it had worked fairly well so far. He hadn’t been shot yet and he hadn’t come across anyone sitting out enjoying the view. Until now, that is.
“Evening, ma’am. Just maintenance nothing to worry about.” He said gruffly, pulling himself up onto the railing and immediately jumping up to grab onto the next balcony to climb away before they could question his bullshit.

“Hey, Cat.” Marcus says, not looking away from the contents of her fridge as he heard her enter. He held a bag of frozen peas over one eye and the other scanned the fridge, as if in search of a beer or the meaning of life. Probably beer.

“Well, why didn’t you lead with that.” She heaves a sigh, sparing one last glance towards her kitchen, before she gives the endeavor up, grabbing her keys as a smirk flickers across her own face. At least he’d looked pleasant for half a second. That was nice. “Can we try to keep the trouble at a minimal level, I’m not as durable as you are ….”
Marcus made a vague, non-committal noise in response to her last request as he began moving towards the door, placing a hand on the doorknob once it was within arms reach. “If anything starts, just jump behind me. I’m made to take hits, but I’m not expecting anything too bad.”
