Posted this on discord and I may as well document it here for posterity.

Harlequin pattern:

Step 1, draw crisscrossing lines on multiple layers (Preferably just the 2, but it might work with more?)

Step 2, duplicate the layers and make the duplicates invisible (these can be deleted at the end)

Step 3, select the nontransparent areas in one of the invisible areas (You can easily do this by holding control and clicking the layer image in SAI, or just use the magic wand tool)

Step 4, erase on the opposite direction layer

Step 5, repeat steps 3 and 4, but for the other direction

Step 6, ???

Step 7, profit

I was a bit too hyped so I took on more breedings than I could chew. So this list is late. But I’m happy with how it turned out! Spoilers under the cut. (Up for review, so may potentially have changes)

I made tutorials on how to do a mandala-esque marking (except….obviously do it neater than that cuz I’m a lazy butthole) and a stylized rose o3o  Two pretty easy markings that can make something look super intricate/detailed, but they’re very easy to make once you get the hang of it and practice some!

I also opened my PPP Predict thread again here, one GP slot for up to 6 predictions and then unlimited USD slots because I’m going on vacation soon and USD would be cool xD

Just finished up my Magical Girl Bun set!  Man, I was having the hardest time getting these guys colored just right. I’m so glad I took the extra time to flesh them out though, because I’m really proud of how they came out!

75% edited Xaoc predict for myself, finally finished.

Shading by the wonderful Pirate #142 @lairofdragons

I did the lines and the eyes, Pirate did the shading and the cherry blossoms.

Add-ons were Genus in a Bottle (thus the 1% Xaoc chance), and Grand Edit Randomizer (which rolled Hanami for the theme, as I’m not on an edits team)
