[There is more to this cave than meets the eye… You feel as if you are being watched by something far larger than you. Or, perhaps, someone. Acting carelessly would be unwise…]
Note: this reference picture is a work in progress. It will be updated in the future.
You stand before a massive figure, though if your environmental awareness is poor you may have failed to notice. Seemingly a manifestation of part of the cavern itself, it holds a solid metal platform aloft with a rope one may feel oddly compelled to cut… Should you reveal that you can do so, you will likely find yourself in harm’s way. This being likes nothing more than watching others be crushed as a result of their own incompetence— even if that means offering some “encouragement” in order to ensure they do as it wishes. It is no killer, it would argue; being an instrument of death is different, even if it finds more joy in it. If a victim listens to its advice or does something regrettable while attempting to resist it, well, that was their decision to make, and they chose poorly. It would not be inaccurate to say it is more proactive than a certain other being…
As for more specifics… This giant of ice and stone stands at over 20 feet tall. Rather than a head, it has a small door topped with a shining red star that gives off a gentle glow. The door is big enough for one to potentially crawl into, though that would require being able to reach it in the first place— an accomplishment that is no small feat. The room on the other side is disconnected from its body, apart from the entrance, but no longer contains anything of value. While it may initially appear to be a distinct entity, the rope platform it carries is in fact part of its body, able to be reattached any time the fibers are severed once the ends are brought together. Until then, any rope still attached to its main body can be manipulated at its whim. Its large wings do not permit flight, but it is quite adept at using them as walls or a ceiling to keep others where it wants them.
It is not hateful, holds no grudges, and more than anything forms no attachments; it is just as likely to be cold, callous, and cruel as it is to be inviting, polite, and careful. Do not mistake its mercy for gentleness, or its openness for artlessness. It has no interest in friendship, romance, or intimacy; at most it may entertain others’ desires for such if it believes doing so will eventually culminate in the other person’s demise. In other words, it may play along, but will never reciprocate. In the same vein, it lacks any capacity or desire to engage in certain things: eating, drinking, sex acts— anything that might require an orifice or bodily fluids, pretty much. It is ice and stone all the way through, after all. It has no issues with using its size and strength to intimidate or even bully others into submission; in such cases, it prefers to avoid causing too much injury, though accidents can still happen. With that said, while it is very patient, testing its limits would be unwise if you would prefer not to be seriously injured.
If you do want to piss it off, though, the best way is to insist it is a killer. It hates having its hypocrisy pointed out.
Few have garnered its undivided attention and survived, but who knows. Maybe one such individual will make an appearance here or there…
