We absolutely SHOULD celebrate DC greenlighting three Black-led projects with Black creative teams because YAY but!! one of the requests of DCBlackout is that these titles be given immunity from cancellation for 2 years. Obviously we should do our part and preorder & show up for these titles, but DC is also not off the hook yet!!! Stay vigilant and keep demanding better for Black characters, fans, and creatives!!!!

Canon Typical Inconsistent Disownment

I know it's a popular trope in fanfics that when Jason goes to university instead of following through his utrh plan or even if he just does it behind everyone's back while legally dead then he picks a new identity to remain anonymous. But personally I always believed he wouldn't do that. He'd go to university using his own real name and he'd get a degree with his own real name on the diploma. I have no proof other than those two panels but to me it was about Jason being proud of who he is and that's how he wants to be remembered as. Jason Todd, not anyone else.

If he had to get a new identity for important (but personal) things I think he'd still use his real name and if anyone got suspicious he'd just call it a coincidence or ignore it. Because why would he had to pretend to be someone else if he's getting that degree for himself?

The thing about Jason Todd is that there's a profound lack of resentment towards his parental figures. It's the foundation of his character at this point and also his fatal flaw.

He's died to a parental figure, directly and not, at least three separate times and still got nothing bad to say about them. In fact he would still actively defend them with his life if given the chance, it's that dire.
