What has been your most challenging film or stage role?

Hamlet, and this, Doctor Strange. We were releasing Doctor Strange while in the run of Hamlet, so days would involve physical training, kung-fu fight choreography, stunt sequence rehearsal and wire work, script and tone meetings, costume fittings… and then three hours of Hamlet at The Barbican. But the physical exertion actually made a seemingly impossible day possible and enjoyable, and while they were two very different jobs, they fed each other
