outer banks x the vampire diaries AU
It was another autumn morning where you woke up groggy, having no recollection of what happened the night before. You thought you were just tired, since you'd fallen asleep instantly. But it’s been happening so frequently, even on days where you weren’t even tired to begin with. Forcing yourself to get up from bed, you went into the bathroom to get ready for the day. While you were tying up your hair, you noticed red and purple bite marks on your neck. Though you paid no mind to it, you figured it wasn’t a big deal. Your skin was just sensitive to a new perfume. Same goes to how sore your body has been, it was definitely the gym sessions that you’ve been incorporating throughout your week After turning on the coffee pot in your small, but cozy kitchen, you had written down a to-do list for the day. Lately you’ve been very forgetful, and you weren’t sure why. But writing down lists and buying planners has always been your thing, so at least that wasn’t out of the ordinary. The first thing on your list was to go grocery shopping.
“How exciting” you huffed out. Second thing was to gym, and lastly you had agreed to meet up with your friend at a local bar tonight. You put on your favorite wine colored sweater, a black scarf to cover up the bruises (you didn't want to, but you just did), a random pair of jeans, and black boots. This time of year has always been your favorite. You love how the color of the leaves change and the smell of honey crisp apples as you walk down the street. It was a Saturday, so that means the farmers market was open. Vendors filled the streets, yummy treats of donuts, and hot cider fills your nose. You were here for groceries, but you noted to come back for those treats afterwards. As you were picking ingredients for your dinner tonight, you were debating between tomato or squash soup. Lost in your train of thought, a man’s voice breaks you from your daydreaming.
“It’s just not that time of year” The man says, bringing you back to reality.
You instantly turn around, seeing a blonde man with his hands behind his back looking right at you. Something about his presence, and specific energy had you feeling instantly attracted to him.
Another part of you also felt a strange familiarity towards him, like you had met this man before. But no, that’s impossible. You don’t even know him.
All you did was chuckle. “You think so?” eyeing the green tomato in your hand.
“Oh definitely. It’s clearly under ripe and whatever you’re cooking…soup I’m assuming?” He raises his eyebrows.
You simply nodded at his assumption.
“Yeah, it would just not be enjoyable for tomato soup. If I were you, I would pick the butternut squash. Perfect for squash soup especially with the weather we’re having right now. But you do you, of course” he says hands up in defense. A warm smile crosses his face as he proves his point.
“Oh my god! I was actually debating between tomato or squash soup” you said with surprise.
You couldn't believe it, it’s like he read your mind.
The man gave you small shrug.
“I-I’m sorry I didn’t mean to pry. I’m actually a chef, so I’m a nerd for this type of stuff. Please, cook whatever you want with your dinner tonight" He gently says. You waved a hand at his apology, taking no offense to his suggestion. "I appreciate your help", you added. The blonde nodded once more, telling you to enjoy the rest of your day.
As he was about to walk away, you suddenly stopped him.
“Wait! Have we met before? I just feel like I know you” You played it off cool of course, not wanting to sound like you were stalking him or something.
He shook his head, stepping closer to you.
“No, I don’t think so. I would have remembered a pretty face like yours” a flirtatious tone seeps his words, and a smirk dances on his face. If it wasn’t for the chilly weather, your face would had been burning up from his compliment.
“Right, sorry" You put your hands to your face in embarrassment. It may be a small town, but that doesn’t mean you know everybody.
He patted your shoulder before departing from you. Leaving you with a nostalgic feeling from his touch alone.
After finishing at the gym, you went straight home to shower and get ready to meet up with your friend. The local bar has always been your favorite place to go to, so you were excited to get all dolled up. You decided to wear your go-to night outfit, which was your favorite leather jacket, a black mini dress, and a pair of thigh high boots. Once you were ready, you ordered a taxi to go to the bar, knowing that you'll be drinking tonight. The drive was fairly short with all the bars and pubs being pretty close to your apartment. You told the taxi driver to drop you off a few bars away, being familiar with the route already. You shivered a bit as you made your way down the street. Wrapping your jacket tighter around yourself, you accidentally dropped your phone on the ground. Sighing, you reached down to pick it up, but making sudden contact with a hard figure. You look up, seeing it was the same guy from the farmers market.
Your eyes widen in surprise at the coincidence. You noticed how good he looks especially in the nighttime. He was dressed in all black with a coat fitting snuggly around his arms. His front two pieces framing his well structured face, and you swore you saw his eyes sparkle in the moonlight.
“Oh hi! It’s you-“ But you were cut off, suddenly going into a trance. He grabs you by your shoulder, that same familiar touch hitting you once again before he spoke, looking right into your eyes.
“You are going to forget that you saw me at the farmers market this morning. I was a nobody to you. You are going to text your friend and say that you have to cancel due to an emergency.”
You nodded in response, instantly forgetting any recollection of meeting him earlier and doing exactly what he said about texting your friend.
Then, he takes your hand in his, leading you towards the direction of the bar.
The bar was probably the busiest that you’ve seen it. Rafael, was the name of your date. You didn't recall making date plans, but you weren’t complaining. He was by far the most handsome date that you've had. Rafael’s instant charm and humor had you blushing and giggling. You wished you had met him sooner. Rafael flagged down the bartender to take your orders. He ordered a bourbon neat while you settled for a martini on the rocks. The bartender placed the drinks infront of you two, and grabbed Rafael's card to open up a tab. "Oh, thank you! You didn't have to do that" you said.
“Don’t worry about it, I want to” He smiles. God, his smile was so perfect.
You held up your drink, motioning to cheers with his. Rafael held up his glass and you noticed the gold signet ring on his index finger. You two collided your glasses together, causing the glasses to make a *clink* sound. You both take a sip of the drink at the same time. But there was a little tang in your drink, making it taste a little off. It could have been the alcohol, but you’ve had this drink too many times before and it never tasted like this. But it wasn’t worth mentioning. Taking another sip, you impulsively asked Rafael where he got his ring from. Looking down at his hand, he cocks his head to the side, getting a good look at it.
“It was my father's. A family heirloom, really. I can’t remember for the life of me how long he’s had it for" he laughs.
“You will remember when I say you can.”
The room started to spin, and the music was blasting way too loud. But now you remember. Remember what? exactly. A sudden flashback played in your head like a movie. You were lying in bed, Rafael trapping you under his arms. A pool of darkness staring deep into your tranced eyes, his once blue eyes were now all black. You felt his hot breath whispering for you to “behave."
“Stay still darling, it’ll be over soon”. His strong hands pins your waist down as he moves forward, bucking his hips into yours. His groans and whimpers fills the room while you were dead silent. Your body listening to the command, lying still like how you were told to do. A single tear drop rolls down your cheek while he takes over your body. You wanted to do something, anything, to escape this nightmare. Just to scream, move, or preferably take a knife and shove it into this monster's heart. But you couldn't. He was in full control of your mind and body, and there was absolutely nothing you could do about it.
So you were right, you have met him before. But when and where? A pool of questions flooded your mind in that very moment. Having no remembrance of him taking you back to your place.
He shakes you gently, breaking you out of your trance.
“Hey, hey. You good?” a flash of worry spreads across his face. “I-I have to use the bathroom” you say, pushing past him. You moved so fast, you were stumbling out of your chair. Rafael was quick to catch you, but you immediately flinched at his touch. "I'm fine!" you snapped, absentmindedly leaving your drink and jacket on the table. There’s no way you’re drinking that again. Sweaty bodies blocked your way, making it difficult to find your way to the bathroom. You breathe in deeply when you push open the door, your mind still dizzy. Running up to the dirty scratched up mirror, you touched the bite marks on your neck. Another flashback played in your head, causing you to panic even more. A memory of Rafael bitting down on your neck, red oozing down his canines while he licks your blood on his lips.
“You’re the only one for me” he cupped your cheek in his hand, leaning down to kiss you hard like you’re his final meal.
You frantically search for your phone, but you forgot that you left it inside pocket of your jacket.
“Fuck!” you spat out, running your hands through your hair. You could just run out of there, that seemed the most logical option anyways. When you pushed open the bathroom door, Rafael was already standing outside. Your jacket was folded nicely in one hand, and your phone in another. He was patiently waiting for you like everything was fine.
“You okay? I got worried that something happened to you” His tone was laced with genuine concern. This motherfucker. You wanted to punch him in his throat, but you had to play along with his deception.
Putting on your best poker face, you grabbed your stuff back from him. “Yeah I’m good! I’m just not feeling well..." Attempting to keep your voice steady was already a challenge.
You headed to the exit, but Rafael was already following right behind you.
“In that case, let me take you home” he insists. Your heart stammers against your chest, panic fills your body while you were walking and talking at the same time. "No! It’s okay!” you blurted out, avoiding all eye contact with him. Suddenly, Rafael harshly grabs your arm, spinning you back to him.
“Let me" He says more sternly. Your mouth went dry when you simply blinked at him. And so you listened. No tricks were being used on you, so why did you comply so easily? Were you allowing fear overtake you?
Rafael’s hand grips your waist so possessively as he guides you through the crowded bar. With his black convertible parked conveniently outside, he opened the passenger door and forcefully shoves you inside. You flinched at how hard he slammed the door when made his way around the driver's seat. Rafael starts the engine, and quickly pulls out of the curb before you had the chance to even put your seat belt on. He speeds down the streets, driving so fast that you had to grab onto the car handle to steady yourself.
“Did you enjoy your drink?” Rafael glances at you, not giving a shit at how fast he's going. You slowly turn your head to look at him, giving him an uncomfortably smile for an answer.
“I tried yours actually. Yeah, while you were in the bathroom. Hope you don’t mind, but that little drink burned my mouth!” He slams his hand on the steering wheel. Rafael was now laughing hysterically, as if he just made a joke.
Your eyes widens at that what you heard. The drink burned him?
“Wh-what do you mean it burned you?” the roaring underneath the car was making it hard to focus on what he means.
“Vervain. God, Rafe it was in the ice! How was I supposed to know it was in the water system in this little town? Tricky little shit” He clicks his tongue, letting out an exasperated sigh.
You gulped, noticing how he was mainly talking to himself now.
“Uh- what's vervain?“ You hesitantly asked, careful to not make him mad. But being silent was probably a bad choice too.
Rafael- or - Rafe slammed his breaks so fast at a sudden red light, causing your head to jerk forward. He turns his entire body in his seat to face you, like he’s about to teach you a lesson.
“Vervain is an herb. It protects…” He waves his hand in a circular motion at you. “People like you from my species.”
You didn’t even need to ask what his species was, he has been reading your mind after all.
“I know what you’re thinking, and I know you’re confused. I can hear it right now. One of the many perks of being a vampire.”
The word echoed in your ears before everything went silent. Numbness attacked your body, starting from your head to your toes. You didn’t hear how the car rumbled underneath you when Rafe increased the speed, the angry honks coming from behind you, or his evil hysterical laughs. You just sat there in silence, processing everything at once with what you discovered. By the time you got out of your trance, you realized that Rafe had parked somewhere that was definitely not your house. Snapping your head towards the window, the entrance sign welcomes you to the local cemetery. Your heart felt like it was going to lurch out of your chest from how fast it was going. Rafe opens your car door, the night's breeze hitting your face. "Get out" he jerks his head at you, but you physically couldn't. He then roughly pulls you out of your seat, slamming you against the car door.
“I can’t compel you since the Vervain is still in your system, so if you don’t listen to me the first time, I will try something else. You understand?”
"Y-yes" You managed to say. You complied to him again, a wave of hopelessness runs within you that you can't do anything else. Your submissiveness satisfies something in him. "That's why you're my favorite. Always listening to me." He taps your cheek, his touch alone makes your skin crawl. You turned your head the other direction, and Rafe snickers at that. He's clearly enjoying his time with you. Thick fog surrounds the entrance, swallowing any sight of grass on the ground. The aroma of dead and fresh flowers hits you at once, making your nose wrinkle. You quickly duck your head when a murder of crows fly above you, with their shrieks ringing in your ears. The eerie feeling of being at a cemetery this late at night gives you goosebumps. And when you look at Rafe, he was completely unphased. You assumed that he was just any other psychotic stalker, but this was a whole different level.
Passing all the tombs and mausoleums, Rafe stops at the very end of the row where a white angel statue glistens in the dark. He then kicks a hidden lever behind the statue, revealing an underground staircase. One by one, small lights on the sides of the staircase illuminates. You waited for his next move, but he didn't say anything. He didn't have to, he expects you to know what you should do next. You heisted, taking one step at a time going down the stairs.
"Sure, take your time sweetheart. It's not like I have all night" He pushes you to fasten your pace.
You glare up at him, "I'm going, okay!"
The vampire exhales loudly, but goes nonverbal as he continues to follow behind you down the steps. Finally reaching the end of the staircase, the tight space forces his crotch to press against your hips. You uncomfortably shift from foot to foot, causing friction to his jeans.
"Quit fidgeting, you're making me hard out here" he rumbles low in your ear. Your breathing got heavier by the second, not wanting to acknowledge his lewd comments. He then raises his arm in the darkness, feeling his hard stomach rise up from his jeans. Pulling on a string, the weak lightbulb reveals a red door. You gulp, the suspense of what's happening next is killing you. He pushes open the door, a creaky sound filling the space. But as you looked around, the cave like room glistened from all the different types of potions, books, and plants. Majority of the plants were labeled under "Vervain". The top to bottom shelves were stocked up with the most exquisite materials, everything that a witch needs.
"Your witch isn't here" a voice breaks the haunting stillness. Both of you turn around at the voice, seeing an elderly woman with long black hair combining a purple potion with a pink glittery one on a table top. Rafe tightens his grip on your arm. "Well, where is she?" he commands her to answer.
The woman sticks a long nailed finger into the bubbling vial, and popping it in her mouth to taste the creation that she crafted. "Out, with that sister's of yours" she hummed at the taste. The elder witch then notices your presence, eyeing you up and down. "Why are you terrorizing that poor mortal, Rafe Mikaelson?"
Rafe stiffens at how the witch spat out his last name like that, like it was so vulgar to say. He shoots her a look that seems like he wanted to suffocate her. "That's none of your business, witch" he hisses at her. A sudden boom of laughter erupted the space, causing the potions on the wall to rattle. "Oh, you Original vampires really know how to piss off a witch. You come to my coven, a place that you are not even welcomed to, and you're telling me that it's none of my damn business?"
Rafe throws his hands up in the air in disbelief, now invading the witch's personal space, telling her why he needs his specific witch at this very moment. The elder and him go back and forth, exchanging some harsh insults at each other. The witch then stops, concentrating her mind to Rafe. Within seconds, Rafe groans in pain, hands to his head as the blood vessels from the aneurysm feel like it's going to burst. The witch focuses her attention you, signaling you to go. "Run! Leave!"
You took the opportunity, running as fast as you could out of the cave. "Fuck! Y/N!" Rafe cries out. You didn't look back once, a rush of fear and adrenaline pushing your body to keep going. Reaching the staircase, you climbed it faster this time around. You look up to see how much farther you have left, and you could see the full moon waiting for you to reach ground level. You were so close in getting out of there, one more foot was left to climb up. Until a sudden tug brought you down, making you scream in horror.
"Where you think you're going, huh?" Rafe has managed to catch up to you with blood dripping all over his chin. You kick harshly at his grasp, your fingernails gripping the cold and wet dirt to keep you steady. "You fucking monster! Let go of me!" You frantically kick at any direction, hoping that you're aiming directly at him. Your foot successfully strikes his chin, causing Rafe fall off the rail and collapsing backwards to the ground. The loud thud of his body shook the staircase. Breathing heavy, you finally climbed out of there, heading straight to the cemetery gate. Your lungs felt like it was going to collapse on you at every given moment, but there was no time for breaks. Sprinting towards the gate, a powerful voice echoed through the graveyard.
"Run all you want, Y/N! I can play this game too!"
This time you stopped. Turning around, you saw Rafe walking perfectly fine as he causally stalked towards you. No sign of injury or limping was visible on him. Shit. You picked up your feet, bolting towards the forest that was only a few blocks away. The crunch of leaves and snaps of twigs were at your every step when you ran through the woods. Only moonlight was your savior in the dark of the night. You've been running for miles on end now, believing that you have truly lost him. Even though you wanted to keep going, your body had eventually slowed down. Sliding down against a tree, your knees collapse when you hit the ground. You wipe your face, not knowing whether or not it's a mix of sweat or tears. A few minutes have gone by, and you were able to catch your breath. Looking around your surroundings once more, you didn't hear or see anything. The coast was clear. You prepared your body to start running again, until your face was planted down on the dirt. Kicking and screaming at the how the large body was crushing you, Rafe Mikaelson had won the game.
"Try a little harder, Y/N. You know I like a challenge" You shut your eyes at the sound of your dress ripping. You attempted everything in your power to escape him, but your strength wasn’t enough. After he drank that witch’s blood, he had became stronger. He flipped your body on your back, hand wrapped around your neck so you're only looking at him and only him. He inched closer to your face, “You’re so beautiful. Too bad you’re a bitch.”
You spat directly in his face. He wipes the spit on his eyelid with one swipe of his hand. Then, a smirk forms on his lips.
“You’re spitting in the wrong area, love.”
Rafe's face formed like the same monster that you saw in your memories. A flash of red and purple veins dance under his eyes. His once human teeth were now replaced with sharper and longer canines. His orbs were now fully black.
Your screams were drowned by the murder of crows squawking nearby. Rafe bites himself, his special blood drips down his wrist as he pushes it against your mouth, all while he forces his hard cock inside of you.
"Since you know what's going on, maybe you will enjoy yourself this time." Rafe's mouth gapes open, the feeling of your tight walls become wetter and wetter around him. The metallic taste of his blood fills your mouth, while his precum fills your pussy. Pumping himself inside of you with both slow and fast movements, teasing you in every single way possible.
"Oh fuck. Fuck, that's it darlin" He hisses. "Take my cock like how you're drinking my blood."
Your eyes roll back with how he reaches the peak of your cervix. Your moans were muffled by his wrist, but he didn't need to hear you to know that you were enjoying it. Once he thought you had enough of his blood, he finally removes his wrist away from your mouth. Your eyes were dazed, getting drunk off his blood, and his dick. Without warning, he then spurts his hot cum inside of you, groaning loudly at how good you feel this time. You were as quiet as a mouse, and numb at the touch. You blink your empty eyes. Eyes that were once filled with light and happiness, but now destroyed by darkness. Rafe removes himself from you, grabbing the sleeve of his shirt to wipe your mouth and the inside your thighs. But before you had the chance to prop yourself up, Rafe brings both of his hands to caress your head.
"Now we'll be together always and forever."
In one swift motion, Rafe snaps your neck. Your lifeless body falls against his chest while he repeated sweet nothings to you.
You were in the transition phase of becoming a vampire. Rafe Mikaelson had fed you his blood, and snapped your neck. You had technically "died", but since you had his vampire blood in your system, you only have 24 hours to become a vampire forever. All you have to do is to drink human blood in order to complete the transitioning. However, if you do not consume human blood, you will die after those 24 hours.
“You’re seriously fucked in the head if you think I should be happy about this” you huffed, pushing away the goblet of fresh human blood from his hands.
Rafe has been on his knees, begging you to drink human blood so you can complete the full process of being a vampire. His vampire. "Didn't think your stubbornness would have followed you through vampirism" He mumbled, looking down at you from your now shared bed.
By the time you woke up, your neck felt like someone had rung it out like a towel. Rafe dressed up you in a black lace slip dress, with a matching red set underneath. Your hair was washed and cleaned from any remaining leaves and dirt, and your face had light and fresh makeup, making you look ageless already.
"Look, I know this isn't easy. But I know what's best for you. You thought you were happy as a mortal, but you weren't. I was there, and I saw how you miserable you were. Trust me when I say that you won't regret your life as a vampire. You'll be stronger and healthier. And I will be here for you" Rafe says, lifting your chin up. His eyes soften when a single tear drop rolls down your cheek. "It'll will take a lot more to get rid of me, okay?" He gently kisses your forehead, and then grabs your hands.
"Please, Y/N. You don't have much time left. I-I can't lose you."
Rafe kisses both of your hands before leaving the room with your thoughts. You then stare at the goblet, like it was taunting you to just drink from it already.
Rafe had given you an hour to decide. He thought 30 minutes should suffice, but he didn't want to push it with you. Rafe was about to barge into the room, but he suddenly remembered that he has to knock on your guys' shared bedroom door. "That knocking bullshit will stop once she turns" he said under his breath. He gently knocks on the door, calling out your name, but there was no response from you. "Fuck it, this was my room first." And the moment his foot stepped into the room, it landed on something wet. Rafe looks down, seeing that it was fully drenched with spilled blood. He slowly looks up, and what he saw in front of him made him want to say "I love you" for all of eternity. You were on the floor, haunched over a male servant, piercing your now vampire teeth into his neck, sucking the life out of him. You moaned in satisfaction, every drop of blood fulfilling your vampire senses. Rafe was in such awe that he didn't want to interrupt this beautiful sight, though he did wish it wasn't a man that you were feeding on.
You jerked your head up, revealing your blood covered fangs to him. He was right, you've never felt more alive til this moment. Rafe runs up to you, appreciating the final decision that you have made for him. "My love. Thank you for doing this for me! Oh I love you, I love you" He says repeatedly, showering you with kisses all over your face. You went still as he continues to show off his affection. But after a second, you placed a hand on his chest. You tilt your head at his desperation and neediness for your affection. A sly smile grows on your face when you held Rafe's cheek.
"See you in the afterlife, Rafael."
Lifting up your slip dress, you grab the infamous dagger that could bring an Original vampire to sleep forever, and you sunk it deep into Rafe's heart. Betrayal and hurt paints his face when he realized what you've done. He gasps, attempting to draw in one last breathe. His body started to desiccate, turning grey all over as the paralysis takes over. You laid his body on the ground. Your unforgettable beauty was the last thing Rafe saw before he entered a never ending cycle of sleep. He took away your freedom, so you decided to take away his.
Rafe was a people watcher. He liked to observe how they spoke, ate, danced. It intrigued him to see how mortals lived their lives, since he does it so differently. It was another weekend where he was in the downtown area, his favorite spot to be when he preys on the mortals. Only this time, it was decorated with orange and yellow leaves. Lit up pumpkins on every store front with Halloween right around the corner. He walked the streets with his head high, confidence in every step that he took. Rafe was turning a street corner when a flyer on the wall suddenly caught his attention.
“Masquerade Party. Tonight. No Mask No Entry.”
Rafe scoffed at the lousy invitation. His family hosted so many masquerade parties in the past, so he doubted that this one was going to blow his mind. But when he looked closer to the flyer, he noticed in small fine red print that reads "Come Thirsty". Now that sparked his interest.
The party started earlier than usual, but the white mansion filled up rather quickly. Rafe wore his signature color, an all black suit and tie. Completing his look with a black and red mask tied behind his head. He takes a drink from a waiter, downing his champagne flute in one swig. He studied the party goers when he made his way around the mansion. Some were plain boring, just sitting around glued to their phones. While others were more engaged, partying hard to the music. But he honestly didn't care what they did, as long as their blood could satisfy his hunger. Then, a group of guys, about a few years younger than Rafe, passed by him. Their cheap cologne and obnoxious behavior already revealing how young they truly were. Rafe takes advantage of his vampire hearing and eavesdrops to what they were saying.
"Hey, man. I got yayo and like 20 bitches upstairs" The dirty blonde one said.
"Fuck yeah, I'll spread the word" His friend laughed, giving the blonde a handshake before they parted ways.
Rafe causally nodded to himself, ready to make his up the spiral staircase, until something caught his senses. The sweet smell of blood wafting in the air, causing the veins on his eyes to form. Thankfully, the mask was in the way to cover them. He chases the scent, making his way to the outside courtyard. He looks around, seeing that it was empty. Until a wincing noise was made near the fountain. You sat on the edge of the water fountain, knee bent as a gush of blood trickled down your knee. There was a small tear on the side of your dress, and your black laced mask was placed beside you. You flinched in pain when you dapped a napkin on your wound.
"Excuse me, miss? Are you alright?" Rafe asks, using an English accent that he perfected after many years of mocking his father.
You look up at the sudden voice, seeing a tall masked man with the most memorizing eyes, watching you.
"Yeah, I'm okay! I just went a little overboard on drinks so I fell" You explained.
Rafe hummed at that, already plotting what he wanted to do to you. Seeing you in a such distressed state was the perfect advantage for him to have.
"Are you here alone?" He questioned, grabbing his own handkerchief from his suit pocket, and kneels down to where your bloody knee was.
You put your hands up, telling him that he didn't have to, but Rafe did it anyways. Giving the gentleman a small smile, you relaxed at this firm, but gentle touch as he cleaned you up. "No. I'm waiting for my friend."
That was a lie. He heard how fast your heartbeat went you said that. Smart girl.
"I could stay with you, until your friend comes, if you'd like" Rafe offers, tucking the bloody handkerchief back into his pocket. He's definitely going to be using that for his own pleasure later on.
You hesitated before answering, aware that your non-existent friend will never show up. You got off the fountain, carefully limping to start walking. He offers his hand for you to grab on, to which you took. "No, no. I'm totally okay" You reassured the man. "You should go back to the party. Trust me, there's nothing interesting out here" You chuckled.
He halts to a stop, shoulders relaxing. Though his grip on your hand remained strong. "Don't need to. The most interesting part is standing right in front of me" Charm laces his words, making you to blush in an instant.
"You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my entire life. And I've lived many, many lives" He whispers so only you could hear. You show him your most genuine smile, looking away when he doesn't break eye contact with you.
"Well, thank you. You're very sweet. What's your name?" You said, looking back at him. But you were taken aback, seeing that the man's sweet eyes had flipped. His gaze on you was so intense, you stumbled over your own feet. Rafe was ready to perform his trickery on you.
“I will take you home. You will let me inside in, and you will be the good girl that you are.”
Nodding your head in agreement, the mysterious man places his hand on your lower back, guiding you to the nearest exit.
"Those red and purple bruises on your neck was an allergic reaction to a new perfume. You will wear a scarf when you go out."
"Your body will feel sore, and not because I fucked the living shit out of you. It's cause you just got a new gym membership."
"You won't remember anything until I say so. I have full control over you. Nobody else. You are mine, and only mine.
You haven't been feeling yourself lately. Sometimes you would be at one place, and ending up at another. Or you would try to think of something, but your mind would go completely blank. You would look at yourself in the mirror, but you wouldn’t actually be seeing you. It all started after you went to that masquerade party last weekend. You decided to explore downtown alone after your asshole date stood you up an hour before. All you recalled was having so much fun and getting too drunk. Then you somehow ended up back at your apartment. It was weird, but you got home safe without getting harmed. You're so overdramatic, you said to yourself. But it was a brand new day, and you were getting ready to go out. Your door bell rang throughout your apartment, and you squeal in excitement. Opening the door, there you saw your handsome boyfriend of 5 years, covering his face with a bouquet of flowers.
"Baby! They're beautiful!" You said in awe, going on your tippy toes to kiss him on the lips.
“Not as beautiful as you” He says, grabbing you by your waist to kiss you right back. You smiled at him before placing the bouquet on the table, searching for a vase to put them in.
“I’ll find it, darlin. Go finish getting ready” your lovely boyfriend said to you. Giving him a nod, you headed back to your vanity, when another doorbell rang. “I got it!” you called out, jogging back towards the door. You were hoping it was your new beauty products that your boyfriend had ordered for you.
But it wasn’t. Looking down at your doormat, it was a letter with a piece of herb wrapped around it. You scrunched your eyebrows in confusion while you opened up the letter. To which it typed in bold letters:
He is tricking you. Use this herb.
Before you could even process what that message meant, you felt a presence watching you.
“What’s that” The man said behind you.
You flinched, almost dropping the herb on the ground.
“Shit! You scared me” You gasped, placing your hand on your chest. A small giggle escapes you to lessen the tension, but the man did not laugh.
“I said, what is that” He repeats himself, in a tone that you’ve never heard him use before.
A series of confusion runs through your mind. “No-nothing! I think they got the wrong address. I’ll send it back.”
The man was not convinced. He pulls your arm, reeling you back inside your apartment. He slammed the door so loud that it shook the wall. Wincing, you step back from him.
“Give it to me” He says through gritted teeth, snatching the letter from your hand. Your chest rises up and down, you don’t even recognize who he was anymore.
You saw how his eyes scan over each word as he reads the letter. He then laughs, a deep low laugh that was unsettling to hear. “This is bullshit” he grunts, crumbling the piece of paper and throwing it at the wall.
“Wait. I-I just realized. I don’t even know your name” You admitted, slowly backing away from this strange man infront of you. You allowed this man into your house, kiss you, sleep in your bed, and you’ve never called him by his name before.
“Baby, cmon. It’s me! You know that!” The unnamed man says, reaching out to shake your shoulders. You push his hands away, trying to create a barrier between you and him. He swipes his nose with his finger, his patience wearing thin. In a blink, he attempted to lunge at you. But you reacted fast, grabbing the herb from your pocket, and driving it in his forearm. “Ah! Fuck!” He screams, holding it in pain. The herb's effects sizzled his skin so bad that smoke started to rise out of it. Your eyes widen in pure horror as you ran to the kitchen, scrambling through the cabinets to find the sharpest knife you own. But by the time you turned around, he disappeared. The only sound was the creaking of your hardwood floors. Then out of nowhere, the potted plant in the corner abruptly fell over, making you spin your body to that direction. With knife still in hand, you inched closer to the plant. But before you even reached it, a fast moving figure crashed right into you, knocking the knife out of your hands. You screamed in resistance when the man pinned you down to the floor. His legs were wrapped around you, trapping you against him. With one hand, he slams it against your mouth, and with the other he snakes it around your neck, slowly cutting off your airway. As he inched closer to your face, you could feel the intensity of his gaze. He owned such beautiful eyes, yet the monstrous man wearing them had ruined their innocence. He lowered his forehead to touch yours. A wave of chills trickled down your spine when he curled his lip into a cruel smile.
“Now... let’s try this again.”
