for context, a ko-fi/vgen user (@/MUSHR00MZ & @/MUSHR00MZ33) had filed a chargeback on ALOT of artists in the RE community around early june, and unfortunately it seems this user had just gone into hiding and a lot of artists have had to pay them back. alexa xenoblade headcanon design, wanted to give a bit more body diversity to the women, and not have them all with hourglass figures. it has a whole rant it could go on about how womens designs are kneecapped by outdated and unhealthy beauty standards and how the gaming space is just a bad place for women in general, but will hold off on that. (for now)

design philosophy below the cut, heres beefcake alexa:

her design is focused on function over form, her choices for clothing and body reflect this. most prominently: how she builds muscle. she works out for strength in her full body, which lets her be able to work with heavier machinery (skells baby!) in as many ways as she wants to, and not focused on the appearance of her build. she doesnt need a sixpack or defined biceps to get the job done. her compression top/binder gives a snug fit around her chest, a personal preference of hers when doing big heavy work or mission outings where she needs combat gear. tank top provides a wide range of motion for her arms and is short enough to not get in her way in any moment of her job. work pants are versatile with the belt for tools, a soft(er) surface to be kneeling on, and rugged enough to last for years. not pictured are steel toe boots strapped tight to her feet, which the cuffs of her work pants are tucked into. her outfit is meant to be quick to get in, quick to get out of, if she gets a surprise call from one of her friends (as pictured above) and needs to suit up for a mission.
